God that Chelsea kit is god awful. Easily one of, if not the worst in the league this season.

Odd for them as when you look at the lineups for both halves, it's all first team players that you'd expect. Guiu maybe the only one outside of that, but I'd read he'd been signed to play.

A world away from us playing youth out of position. Hopefully a sign of the season to come!

Really tricky to read into preseason friendlies.

However, Marseca is essentially started new with new ideas.

Some of those players have had 5 different coaches and had only just started to adapt to the last one.

New players have arrived, players who were shipped off on loan have returned, some have left.

It has all the ingredients for another disaster.

Hope so 🙏

It's also a scattergun approach with the signings, Poch played differently to Potter and Maresca plays differently to Poch.

I had a quick look when they were 2 down and their team is average. They will miss Silva and it's hard to see the experience there.

They may have signed half the Brazillian under 19 team but the only first team players are Dewsbury Hall (personally don't rate him) and Tosin on a free. (Who I do rate, but not exactly one to take you to the next level).

Without quality first team signings and an inexperienced manager it's hard to see how they will improve on last season. It's also hard to see Maresca being there next season.

I feel like you can say that about any Chelsea manager every year.

Cole palmer carried that team last year and Gallagher helped sure things up. Not saying they won’t sort it out before the new season but it’s a lot of reliance on individual moments that helped them. They are not really a team just yet.

Yet another style of playing for the players to adopt. It took them over half a season to click under Poch so it won’t be a surprise for the same again.

Pre-season games often mean nothing when the season starts but he’ll do well to get everyone up to speed so quickly, particularly with the euros/copa delaying returns.

Hope Todd and his merry men aren’t expecting miracles.

I hope they are. Last thing we need is patience at Chelsea.

That’s genuinely not a great sign, after listening to Ange for a year you either believe in the system you play or you get found out, it’s only pre season and he’s changing already.

They’re playing inverted fullbacks with a set of four who like bombing down the wings. There’s the first problem I see for them tactically.

Have a read through the comments in this, including some from Leicester fans. It’s all a mess. 😂😂😂

I saw some of their fans saying it was a mess and looks totally disorganized.

Let's hope Marseca is like AVB and really stubborn with things that clearly don't work.

They've spent so much money on CBs and FBs yet the majority of them seem to be quite weak mentally but also lacking in ball playing ability.

Tosin would be a decent addition IF they had a strong leader type alongside him.

Saw a video of Sanchez screaming at Fofana to pay attention to runners behind him, yet he did absolutely nothing about it.

Funny thing is all their CBs seem that way.
