We should be all over that, more so than any interest in Eze. Olise would tick every box as to what we need to elevate our attack to the next level, in terms of his profile, quality, and the positions he takes up. I hope we're pushing extremely hard and managing to keep it out of the news. With a release clause and our giant PSR ceiling there is absolutely no reason why Chelsea should be able to overpower us here. What was the stadium for if not this exact scenario?

Ffs how many do they need in that position? Boehly obviously got the wrong end of the stick when someone told him chelsea are a right wing club
Also, it's been well publicised that they need to sell before 30th June to meet these imaginary FFP rules and yet they still get linked to these big money signings... There isn't much happening in terms of transfers with the Euro's, so not sure how they are going to get around balancing the books... unless I've answered my own question above?? :cautious:

Fuck Chelsea... been a bloody stain on football for too long now!

That's all in the past now they got the PL to ratify them selling hotels to themselves. They're selling Cobham to themselves next, so they're fine.

Got to wonder why we haven’t been taking advantage of this loophole with all the property the club owns.

but players unfortunately will still choose them over us as they know that whatever we think of them they’re still far more likely to win those shiny silver things than we are as they won’t stop at Olise whereas if we were to sign him you know that’s pretty much all our business done.

Maybe Olise wants to go to Chelsea because he has history with the club and his brother is there? Sometimes even moves to Chelsea aren't always strictly about the money.

And that's IF it happens.

I don't get it, they have Madueke who's a right winger, signing this guy (a right winger), trying to get Olise (who's also a right winger), plus Palmer who plays on the right a lot, and god knows who else.

We do, it would give us the ability to spend more. Sell off Lillywhite House for £20 million and there’s a right back.
It helps for FFP, but that only matters if you’re trying to spend above your means.

It’s the football clubs equivalent of a loophole that allows you to increase your credit limit to an amount you can’t afford to pay back.

True. It’s not like ENIC would put their money in to take advantage of it anyway.

Sure, it's a gamble on their part, but it is within the rules and it isn't going to bankrupt the club. It's ridiculous that you can sell an asset to yourselves and have it count for psr. We can comfort ourselves about prudent financial management as much as we like, it wins fuck all.

But surely if Chelsea FC are selling assets to the owners, they no longer own them assets, which is just going to compound the problem later down the line as soon enough they won’t have any assets left and just living off the TV money? Solves the problem short term, lets them buy a shiny new player, long term its reckless?

Which is why I just cannot understand fans of these clubs find it funny that they think they are getting one over on the rest of the league. I’d be pretty pissed if it was my club, that they are getting in such a state, they have to sell assets to fund a sodding player.
