Chelsea must be confident they are ok, they are spending a €65m package on the Brazilian Estevao
Yes.... I don't get it ?? ... I really don't.

From BBC:
Chelsea are set to sign 17-year-old Estevao Willian from Palmeiras after they agreed an initial fee of £29m for the winger.

The deal does include performance related add-ons for one of the most highly rated young players in Brazil.

It is another large outlay by Chelsea, but continues their strategy of trying to sign the best young talent in the world.

The league is fucked and had been for ages. Chelsea's contribution to this can't be understated. I would love to see them fold, but nothing will happen to them unfortunately. It's 'uncanny' how they always find an out

Poch has finally turned it around why ruin that by sacking him now? McKenna would be stupid to leave Ipswich as well after getting the promoted.

FFP or whatever it's called has always only been there to stop other teams doing what Chelsea and City do on a daily basis.

Its a complete farce.

Edit - would be mad to sack poch now I think especially for an unproven (in the prem) manager

They won't sack Poch I think. I listened to Boehly's recent interview and he was praising how the team played and saying they were 4th in the league since boxing day, and that patience is necessary.

City on paper has complied it's just secretly they have inflated their earnings through fake fans, paying people off the books so it's hard to see for an accountant.

Chelsea not only has admitted to paying people off the books but now are just openly taking the piss by selling assets to themselves, which is so arrogant i can't believe the league is allowing it.

Nottingham forest and everton should be furious they could have done the same.

they find a loophole, it gets closed but too late, and so on… rinse and repeat

out of interest, can we not compete for this kid? Or too much funny stuff with agents etc?

It wouldn’t surprise me if there was funny stuff with agents but also the basic fee is higher than we have ever gone for a player who’s probably not ready for the first team squad.

Sarr was a reported basic fee of £15.6m, Udogie was £15m, Veliz £13m, Spence £12.5m, Bergvall £8.5m.

Estêvão Willian’s fee is a reported £29m (rising to over £50m with add ons). And maybe a considerable wedge for the agent too.

Quite possibly that will turn out to be fantastic value, but we all know Chelsea shop in a much higher market to us: it’s just we all hoped with ffp that was about to change, but it doesn’t seem like it with signings like this!

Mauricio Pochettino on not addressing the fans at full-time:
"When the players started, Adrian [press officer] said I need to go inside."
(@BobbyVincentFL) #CFC
Pochettino: "I don't know if a meeting is going to happen. On Friday night, Todd Boehly invited me for a dinner and it was nice. My staff tomorrow are flying for holidays. I will stay in London for a few days. My phone will be on." #CFC

Well this sounds like someone who thinks he's getting sacked...
