Lennon is a much better winger than Walcott, but is not as good as a striker. His football brain overall is more developed, but Walcott is very good at scoring one on ones and obviously his pace can get him into those positions.

Its no surprise that Walcott's best performances come when his team is counter attacking, because that is when there is space behind the opposition's back line. Lennon, on the other hand, has the skill and balance to take people on and quickness of feet to get in and out of tight spaces.

How he does agaist Evra will depend on who is playing infront of Evra. Normally, with either Ronaldo or Nani, they dont track back and, like Weds, Lennon one on one with any full back creates something.

im glad someone finally picked up on the level of technqiue lennon posses. everyone just goes on about his pace but he has feet almost as quick as, dare i say, messi.

and yea, i agree that walcock would be better as defoe type player.. tho he doesnt have the power or finishing capabilities of him yet.

woooah there!

Hey, i think the lads got bags of talent and could do himself proud amongst the best there is but, despite all that, i'll not be comparing him to Messi yet. Messi is a very, very special talent who has proven his skills on the biggest stages known to man. Lennon has promise but, even though they're the same age, Messi has a strength to his game and a determination that Lennon lacks right now.

Bit more upper body strength, bit more of a tendancy to step over an errant sliding tackle, rather than buy the free kick and he could become a real legend.

agreed, but when i mean he has quick feet i mean his ability to beat players time after time.. but then he is a bit clueless as to what to do after that, whereas messi isnt

sod them walk it by 3 goals... yeah ok.. we have lost 1 home game since harry took over. have won 6 in a row at home. we drew with them at home last season, and were 2-0 up before they got a dodgy penalty decision at old trafford.
