Disappointing. Played well most of the game. We failed to take our chances just prior to their goal. I think Romero was a little at fault in that he ran straight past Vardy into the middle leaving him free at the far post.
Takes:-
Son needs to be more decisive when on the ball in the penalty area.
Good to see Maddison playing well again, Bentancur & Sarr also good
Johnson doesn't offer enough.
Good to see Gray and Bergvall play, so comfortable on the ball.
Werner not good enough.
Solanke was good.
Deki needs to play
Van de Ven - Rolls Royce

So many people raised concerns about the defending in pre season and were shouted down.

he has to change it up because we are way too open all the time
I'd settle for 60% possession if it meant we controlled the game more and had a defensive stability that we utterly lack presently. Teams with 70% possession or thereabouts regularly simply should never feel under the cosh.

It's crazy.

Some good moments and some awful moments. I'm not really convinced by any of our wingers. We could do with an Edgar Davids type signing, an experienced leader.

I’m so gutted with that purely cause it looked like so little had been learned. Play well, don’t kill it, get lazy, get punished, fall to pieces. Rinse and repeat. It’s boring.

Finished is to strong, but let's not pretend Son declined over night. He's been in decline for 18 months now.

Club legend and all that, but looks nothing like his old self.

17 goals and 10 assists last season is not a terrible return for a striker who spent half the season on the wing.

Am baffled how Deki didn’t start after the form he showed pre season.

Gives the impression of what’s the point if you play out your skin and can’t start ahead of or Maddison or Son who let’s be fair have been way off it for months and months.
Maddison had a good game. In the second half we couldn’t get the ball to him.

Can you not read between the lines?

We have not signed any top class players that have improved our first team.
I agree that we haven’t drastically improved our first 11.

but I think it’s fair to take exception at calling the very talented youngsters shite.

Far too many over reactions in here, yes it was disappointing, but on the whole, we played well. Need to cut out errors at the back, but 99 times out of 100 we win this game. We have a good young squad & it will all look a whole lot better when we beat Everton.
No it was a disgrace of a second half! The rest of the top teams will smash this Leicester side

Sorry can’t agree, how can you draw that conclusion from a defensive mistake?
Because they did nothing going forward. Son has been average for many months now. And Johnson has been a very expensive flop, however you want to look at it. At no point in the game did either of them go past their first man. Johnson did have one good cross in the game which went pass every one. But, as in preseason he hides in games and did it again tonight.

Kulusevski one of our form players of preseason and yet we have to wait for 70 minutes to come on when Johnson and Son are doing nothing. So frustrating.

Bergval has some nice touches but was soft as shit at one point and lost the ball and almost cost us a goal. Top players can’t be doing that. He needs to learn quick if he wants to stay involved.
Yeah I think it was more being brought on at that time.. Everything else he done he looked good.

He's going to make a few mistakes but I think he will make up with classy balls and touches.. That freekick he put in at the end....

He needed more time to get into the game ..

What is it with our fucking club, something bad happens on the pitch like Leicester score and we wilt. Same old same old

Squad has no real leaders...who can see it coming and marshall the troops accordingly. Some one on that pitch today needed to step up and calm things down. It could just be faking a cramp or injury... Or manager has to recognize whats happening & make his move with subs. It came down to a real injury for the manager to make his subs & team to get some calmness. But it was just too late in the end.

The reaction is one of utter disappointment. Gutted.
But there were plenty of positives today and I'm trying to cling onto those. Having said that we have to look at the negatives. We can't be that profligate against anyone. And with the players we have I wouldn't expect us to be. Gutted

Difficult decisons made regarding players have been made. Think the next one is Son. Can’t keep pretending he is still peak Son. Because it puts South Korean bums on seats. Been a great player for us. But seen nothing to suggest he is a strarter this season. Defence looked all over the shop again at the slightest hint of pressure.

Basically we should have been out of sight in the first half but we weren't, we couldn't score the goals we ought to have and that's where we were last year, eventually Leicester grew confident that their barn door was perfectly safe and came out more. Once that happened it became clear Bentancur and Sarr were not what we needed, af one point before the substitutions they were just passing through the middle of us with ease and we got lucky Vardy was knackered and didn't get a second.
We'll be OK if our wingers ever find a way to put a cross in without the first defender cutting it out.
Finally my last moan is for the ref, last minute of the game Kulusevski rides two fouls and gets free into the box and he fucking blows up for a foul like the advantage rule don't exist.
