Didn’t think I’d ever see Werner on his weak side 😲
Son needs to find another way of playing or another position, he is definitely struggling- still a great player but he’s not a burners on winger anymore.
Bergvall is fantastic - when he got tag teamed off the ball he’d have learned a vital lesson. Vicario needs to reel it in, the kids is 18 yo and making his PL debut - I didn’t like that.
Solanke will be ok - got in the positions he should but lacked a bit of confidence, bit nervy. Did alright overall though.

I'm not going to wallow in other's opinions. I thought Romero switched off on Vardy, we were wasteful, etc. etc. etc. I think getting our attackers on the same frequency as Solanke is the big thing, because he looked like what we need. We put that away early, no sweating the rest of the way. Just my two cents.

Am baffled how Deki didn’t start after the form he showed pre season.

Gives the impression of what’s the point if you play out your skin and can’t start ahead of or Maddison or Son who let’s be fair have been way off it for months and months.

Anyone care to talk up our much lauded Romero?!

I know we've got issues further forward but that goal really pissed me off and I also thought Udogie is becoming a bit of a liability without the payoff - perhaps a left back in to give him actual competition because he's also one that's prone to casual fuck ups.
It's the easy targets getting pelters but frankly Romero loses Vardy for the goal and nearly gets caught out multiple times - he was poor today. He needs to take responsibility for the team but instead he's getting in shouting matches. No wonder the team looked headless.

Not sure how you can blame Ange for that. We created so much in the first half and were so wasteful in front of goal.

Ange got the subs right too. Unfortunately let down by Son, Solanke and Johnson who couldn't make any use of Maddison's excellent first half.
Yeah. I’m really annoyed but some of the posts in here essentially wanting Ange sacked and one of our greatest players to never set foot in the club again are so OTT they’ve actually made me feel better!

That prick Vardy though - as much class as his wife.

- Bentancur shooting at the keeper when Sarr was in space
- Porro limping about for the best part of five minutes before a sub was made
- Son dismal with Richarlison sat on the bench
- Romero leaving Vardy in an acre of space
- Vicario shouting at Bergvall who had two men on him and no support

Very easy to pick out the faults in that game.

All of them fall down to poor concentration or poor game management.

Ange has the most questions to answer after that, for me.
Completely agree.
I really can’t put into words how angry and frustrated I feel.

How Son gets a free pass in the starting XI is now getting ridiculous. He doesn’t suit this system. If we can’t make tough decisions (like dropping Son), then I question a lot of Ange’s own philosophy.

I was so exicited for tonight.

New season, new players, another pre season....then that second half brings you right back down to earth

Yes its ony one game, but we"ve all seen this so many times before.

It really is the hope that kills you.

And its tiring :(

Same old problems haunting us.

Same forward players from last year letting us down again.

This is what frustrates me. Had almost all summer to address this and the required quality still isn't there. Only one new addition missing from that front line and he's still a bit of a prospect, and one coming in January who is most certainly a prospect.

Would someone like Chiesa really have been worse than Johnson out there?

Also that's just the attack. We still look like we can concede against absolutely any side, and still way too easily. Not an encouraging first game at all.

The way Vicario shouted at Bergvall was disgraceful.

Why didn’t he shout at Romero?

Smacks of insecurity and for show. He’d want to have a look at himself in the mirror, that is not leadership

I think he was bollocking him for not closing down the cross rather than losing the ball earlier.
