One other thing, which is very worrying...

If we aren't in control of a game, we are so incredibly vulnerable. That's a real concern.

The 10 minutes after the Leicester goal, we needed some steady heads. Instead we lost all composure.

Looking back on it, trying to remove any knee-jerk reactions I thought it was a good (not great) performance but frustrating result.

We showed clear positive play with high intensity levels but never created what you’d call clear cut chances (shows with low value xG on all our chances).

The reaction across Twitter from some is nothing short of pathetic. How people can watch that game, hear the post match interviews and be angry at the players / calling for Ange to go is shocking.
Couldn't agree more

It wasn’t a great result but it hasn’t really told us anything we don’t know. For whatever unfathomable reason we are a bit soft and have been for ages, we change players, managers and so forth but our fragile nature hangs around. We cave in way too often when under pressure. The reasons I wish I knew.

I wish we could just win some kind of trophy as the club desperately needs the lift and belief that would bring.

I don't care if it slightly impedes his expansive attacking football, we need a f'ing pitbull in the middle of the pitch, someone who will hang back a bit so we have at 3 bodies back if we lose possession etc.

We can't keep having 70% possession and somehow find ourselves left wide open more than the oppo during games. Certainly not the way to find sustained success over a season.

Been thinking about this - did we just tire ourselves out last night? We were running around like crazy people, hoarding the ball, while they were just sitting back.

There was such a drop off, I do wonder if some of it was fatigue

We play with so little caution that whenever we lose the ball our players have to go full sprint and hope to win it back as we're so vulnerable in those phases. This way of defending seems very energy consuming.

As a team, we're just a bit nice aren't we. Like no team is building up to the game thinking 'fuck, this is gonna be a real battle!' The likes of Johnson, who looks like he could cry at any moment, and you wouldn't mind him dating your daughter, then Son and Maddison, who are happy for a smile and a celebration; fuck that shit - that opposition were garbage, don't give them a sniff, murder the bastards! Make a statement...which is what that 1st half should have been. Ruthless, clinical, not here to fuck around; 0v3 at half time - shit, Spurs mean business.

Yes, we will outplay teams, like we did for a good portion of Monday's game, and so we should vs 60/75% of this league. But then the match turned and we completely shit the bed!

Leicester were fucking woeful; I'd be shocked if they've got 12 points before Xmas. But we allowed them not only to score, but to gain a foothold back in the game and for a small spell, put it on us. Against that quality of opposition, that is fucking worrying and borderline unacceptable.
Where were the captains on the field? Who was grabbing hold of the game and wrestling back control? We lack a proper industrious bastard in the middle of the pitch at times like that. Arguably (glad he's ok!), Bentancur's injury helped us as it completely killed their momentum, and gave us a reset to think 'hang the fuck on; we are MUCH better than this lot FFS!' but it REALLY shouldn't have taken that to happen!

We need (and I expect us) to hammer Everton on Saturday, but I fear this may be a sticking plaster until we properly shore up that 'pretty' centre of the pitch. Get a bastard in there and then we will make significant progress.

Not seen much of the Leicester left back but I was very impressed with Kristiansen. I think he would suit our system. Anybody on here seen much of him? Is he worth a punt?

70% possession only 30% hard work. I mean, watching Romero and VDV they can’t be using that much energy.
