A little bit of perspective - Leicester are a good team, they'll take points off the rest of the big 6 this year especially at home, and I expect they'll push for top 4. We were unlucky not to win and played pretty well for large parts of the match. If we play like we did yesterday we will beat most teams in this league comfortably so I still think there is time for Poch to turn this round. If things aren't better in a months time ... then I think it will be time for a change.

It's just a good job everyone else is equally bad atm!

Utd poor.
Chelsea spirited but hot and cold
Arsenal LOL (edit: typed too soon)
On the flip side, Ole is marking time with Man Utd, and if he continues like this, the Poche rumours are bound to resurface.

Poch’s reputation must be falling by the week atm. I’m not even sure Man Utd would go for him anymore. Madrid might even have second thoughts if this continues.

You're looking at it through the eyes of the disappointed football fan. Football people won't, they are much more realistic and pragmatic. He isn't suddenly a shit manager or his stock isn't suddenly going to fall with them because of a few bad results.

Multiple CL qualifications, a CL final and where he's taken us as a club as of the end of last season etc etc is actually impressive despite the tons of panic that's filling panties on here. And before some herbert decides that I'm suggesting there aren't valid criticisms, I'm not. But it'll be a while before his stock actually falls in the football world. That's just for SC and suchlike.

I'm all for VAR in general and we've been perhaps the most grateful beneficiaries of it since it's introduction but if it's not going to be used sensibly then it really is going to kill the game.

There is no way our second should have been disallowed. When the margins are that absurdly slim the advantage should go with the attackers for the benefit of the game.

Clear and obvious being the guiding principle.

Maddison really is a horrible cheat of a player. Definitely grown up admiring the likes of Pires etc
Every contact he makes out he’s dying and he was trying his best to get players booked and sent off. I know all players seem to dive thesedays but he’s another level.
the whole friggin team crumpled with the slightest contact.

Sorry but I am pretty adamant that he was not offside. The low quality of the VAR 'lines' shows what guess work this decision was. That is what is criminal - all this technology and they effectively guessed. It is not what VAR is intended for. VAR is for correcting clear and obvious errors. Like the Leicester goal where 4 of them were miles offside, inc. Perez who got to the rebound first.

From the daily fail on Son's offside:

"Then VAR became involved. A frame was selected. A line drawn from where the VAR imagined Son's shoulder was, the arm not counting for offside. And by the margin of perhaps a centimetre an offside was called. After all, it either is or it isn't: isn't it? Except, we now know, that it isn't. To recap, the frame rate of 50 per second. Son is running at about 18mph. The margin of error is therefore is around 6cm. What the frame selected actually shows is that Son is probably onside when the ball is played."

With Son's offside (below) he is clearly level with the defender. Anyone could draw a chunky line liek the ones below to show he is onside or offside depending on their allegiance. Or what line they put down first, or how clunky their mouse was. It is inaccurate and that is what is unacceptable about it.

Ridiculous that they VAR'd the fuck out of this yet didn't give us a stonewall penalty earlier.

I’m not saying he’s a suddenly a s*** manager I’m saying selling him to fans of Madrid and Man Utd may start becoming a hard sale due to the fact that they want instant success, especially in Madrid’s case. Man Utd may have gone for it but after Ole I think they might look for a manager that has won it all instead of a work in progress. Football can be cruel and a lot can change in a few months.

Any Spurs fans calling for Poch out have a very short memory - this fickleness is one of the worst things about modern football.

And to anyone thinking Mourinho is the answer - FFS is all I can say that!!

I've come into work and everyone universally agrees what a terrible decision the offside was. Bit of a waste of all the arguments I already had in my head mind you.

But he isn't a creative passing midfield player. He's a dribbler in the Dembele mould. He can pass but it's by no means his strength.

There’s no need to reduce this to a bizarre zero sum game. Two of his primary strengths are dribbling and passing.
