Ter Stegen got Umtiti's nads in the face as he turned round to see Mariano's shot had gone in. Double ouch.

Shit how did Mariano squeeze that one in?

A very deserved win for Real, Barca have been awful tonight.
They are a shadow of the the force they were.

Just goes to show when you lose your most influential players (Xavi, Iniesta) it's a long way back and it takes years to figure out a new way forward. Granted De Jong is still very young.

I don’t watch La Liga much at all anymore but what struck me tonight was how few academy grads they had in the team, aside from those who have been there for 10 years plus.

Seems like they’ve lost their identity a little bit in recent years.

Barca has that identity, but people forget its based on a freakish level of player coming through the academy all at the same time. They won’t see another crop like that for 60 years.

Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, supplemented by Puyol, Busquets, Pique etc

Madness

As much as it pains me to say it, but Henry was what made that peak Barcelona team really pop.

Spanish Players Association has requested for the suspension of their League, rather than current plan of playing all games behind closed doors.

Marcos Lorente, taking on Osasuna on his own. What a player he's becoming!

Watching Sociedad - Madrid and wishing I wasn't. 30 minutes of football at walking pace without anything resembling a chance.

There's a lot of shit football going on round Europe these days.

Villarreal are good.

Remember the days when they had Riquelme, Forlan and Senna. Senna such an rare footballer. International debut at age 30 and the key to Villarreal success in the 2008 season

Watching Sociedad - Granada and Soldado pick up his 14th yellow card of the season.

He was never this dirty for us, was he?

Goldado.

I still like him, he was so unlucky with us and still never has a bad word to say about how he was treated despite having so much trouble scoring.
