A much better performance yesterday, deserves a little credit after all the negativity recently. Good clearance off the line and also some good closing down at times as well. Hopefully has turned a corner

Agreed, thought he played well against the spammers as well.

Over the last two season, Walkers progress had been massive, so he was probably due a poor spell at some point.

Good thread, i have to keep reminding myself that he's only 22 and as such is the best RB in the league for his age range.

Credit where it's due, he has played well in the last two games. It is easy to forget that he is still young and relatively inexperienced.
We are very harsh on our players sometimes.

Credit to the lad, he has upped his performance in the last two games.

After a poor run it seems he has gone back to basics and focused on his defending. The attacking side will come back too. Good coaching I think.

still looks massively devoid of ideas when he moves past the halfway line, BUT he has put in two good performances defensively back to back now. Which is good, work on the important part first, defending. Then he can start looking to improve his attacking ability rather than relying on pure pace which has been sussed out this season

It's great to have him back in form.

Can't wait to see Walker, Kaboul, Vertonghen and BAE all playing together. It will be a thing of glory.

Really can't wait for BAE and Kaboul's return. Think/hope Kaboul and Vertonghen will form one of the best partnerships in Europe.

guy probably needs a break once BAE and Kaboul come back and needs to be rotated with Naughton. Without looking he's got to be the most selected player even more than Friedel over the last 2 years.

AVB dropping Walker when he's had his best game for yonks is great man management if you ask me. Much better than dropping him when he's out of form, at least he doesn't kill his confidence.

Good to see Naughton step up and at least Walker gets a much needed rest.

Agree. Fergie's been doing it for years and I'm sure it's a huge factor in why United always fight for titles.

walker will come back fresher. We were much more assuring yesterday. More evidence that walker is abit tired.

I always feel that he is trying to do too much and not thinking ahead

Agree. And with this system, the foundation has to be a solid back four who don't go missing up the pitch. They can hold a high line, but walker has to stay in position to be able to chase anyone who beats the offside trap. I think he's realising this and decided to concentrate on becoming an unbeatable rightback instead of an attacking wing back. Hope so.
A solid back 4 leaves the two rows of three the freedom to attack.
