Well when teams target trips next year from the start we will see what he is made of, defensively regardless of the clean sheet stat he looked very suspect against decent attacking teams. Gutted to see walker go. Hope we spend the money wisely :)

Wasn't Walker looking clueless when Zaha played around him ? Both aren't best defensively. Attackwise, I bet now that Trippier will be well ahead of Walker next season

Add ons for Walkers contract

Spurs receive 1.5 million every time City win the league and .5 million every time they qualify for the CL until those equal 5.5 million

Announcement is imminent

Why is everyone talking about Trippier like he's an untested right back who has never played in the Premiership?

2016/17 season

Walker 31 starts , 14 clean sheets , 5 assists

Trippier 6 starts , 3 clean sheets, 5 assists

For as good as Walker been , Trippier IMO is ahead on comparison. Its so unfair that Trippier didn't get more chances.

Yeah, too bad he can't defend which is what you expect from a defender.

Those stats say nothing.

Respectfully, What a load of rubbish.

I) Walker played against more dogshit teams last season. Why didn't he create or assist more then ?
How can Trippier create chances against Everton & Stoke when he isn't playing?

II) with regards to training, Pochettino himself has said Trippier deserves more time & praised his professionalism.

I don't know why I'm bothering to respond as I'm fully over the Walker thing now.

Trippier isn't anywhere near as good as him, hence Walker starting much more games than him. "How can Trippier create... blah blah" he wasn't playing because he isn't as good.

They are defenders predominantly and Trippier's one significant strength is that he can cross. He is obviously going to be more productive than Walker, as Walker is mostly inept when attacking.

Respectfully, not one thing you have posted in this thread/exchange has had any point.

Too bad Walker can't create or have an end product...
This stat says everything for that...
Defense? Agree it's not his strong suit, but it isn't the worst

Too bad...Poch doesn't agree with you..looks like he will double his wages & get a new contract.

I heard same kind of opinion here when Rose was backed 2 years back. Rose- not good enough defensively ...blah...blah...blah.
If Pochettino believes in him good enough for me

What ever has happened with him I wish him good luck. Harry Kane is going to make you look like a fool.

Yeah, all the best Kyle. But maybe think before saying "City til I die" on Instagram.

Been a good servant to the club, a great athlete, and a sometimes infuriating footballer. All in all though, one of our best players ever in the position.

We wish Kyle well (in his personal life) for the future.

We couldn't give a shit professionally. We hope you regret it actually.

The transfer has been confirmed.

So, from the bottom of my heart.

I wish him nothing but failure. I don't give a fuck he's been here for years.

He's joined one of our rivals when this club is on the verge of huge success, apparently requested a transfer just before the FA Cup Semi-Final in a vital stage of the season, showing no respect from the club and manager that made him, and was supposedly being a prat once his head was turned.

Enjoy the money, you snake ****.

The above is being discussed on Blue Moon.

Are deals like that commonplace?

It feels very odd for Spurs to have a financial incentive for City to win things. Suppose we had secured 3rd with 37 games and our last game was against City, who were fighting for the title. The other club in contention would have every reason to get shirty if we lost.

“I am thrilled to be signing for City and can’t wait to get started,” Walker said.

“Pep Guardiola is one of the most respected managers in the world and I feel he can help me take my game to a new level.”

Txiki Begiristain, the Club’s Director of Football, added: “Kyle is a fine full-back, one capable of producing quality at both ends of the pitch.

“We’ve followed his progress at Tottenham and have been really impressed by how he has developed. He is now one of the best right-backs in the Premier League and justifiably an England regular.

“I am sure he will be a success at Manchester City this season and beyond.”
