Unbelievable player who has been pivotal to City, but he will go at the end of the season and probably to Sheffield United if I recollect.

Finally finally his pace is going!

Was a world class player for many years but he won’t be without his pace

He still has pace, but up against Werner he didn't have the legs. Most other players he comes up against he will still have pace over them I'd bet.

I think he will go off to Saudi as he needs all the cash he can get to cover a divorce and maintenance payments to the money grabbing slapper he’s knocked up twice.

He is the characteristic definition of a quick footballer, his pace helped him out so much going forward and backward. He has lots that yard that can help him out. Athletically a pristine footballer, technically ans mentally he is now being found out. So many times with us I seen him loose his player or the ball but his pace made up. Technically for us Trippier was three times the baller than Walker, sadly just didn’t have the pace.
A lot of non pacy players retire at that age. That he’s kept that fit is a testament to him. Also there are no speed restrictions in football, walker is as better and more reliable than trippier. Just because his pace made him better let’s not do him down because of it.

I think any defender who'd played 90+ minutes would struggle against a just subbed on Werner.

It's exactly this. Walker had been playing 90 minutes and on comes the very pacey Werner. He was always going to have it tough at that time in the game.

I like Walker, he’s a bit of a crazy bastard but I’m not doing him down. He had pace and by god he could use it.

I don’t think he’s finished, he’s still pretty quick and I don’t think being beaten by another speed demon who’s just come on is anything to be too worried about. It would be a close race between them in the first minute let alone the 90th

He had an awful game though and he was asleep for Maddison’s second which I thought was the bigger and more consequential mistake he made in the game.

So the best English right back in my lifetime wants to leave Man City before he’s pushed

Good luck to him on his retirement in the sun somewhere!

I am surprised actually but best of luck to him. I thought he was destined for Sheffield United. Perhaps he will after his time in the sun.

Interesting if Walker goes to AC Milan, shows the Emerson Royal move may not have panned out as well as they hoped!
