He's a very clever ball carrier extremely confident on the ball can go either way and is a very astute passer and crosser of the ball.
Would take him back in a heartbeat.

And doesn’t look out of place when asked to play on the left, in fact probably looks more assured there than Sess or Reggie.
We really messed up letting him go but hindsight is a great thing.

Yeah, sadly this was a bit of a misstep. Started with Poch perhaps not backing him despite some very good performances coming in cold and ended with Mourinho not playing to anyone's strengths to a degree. Would have provided Conte with a great option I feel now.

I've blamed managers there but it is a bit of a club issue to be fair. The club should have a clearer direction and plan for younger players than they've had - Can see this more so again now but for a while we really hindered ourselves and our emerging players but not getting them loans/minutes and developing systems for them.

I doubt he'd be priority to come back but you never know.

Not even sure this is a hindsight thing. He always looked to have potential when he played, and our first choice right backs weren't pulling up any trees at the time. It was bizarre that Poch just didn't use him

Have any ITK's or reliable journalists confirmed the supposed buy back clause?

He wanted to leave, it wasn't really our choice.

I don't remember anything at the time of transfer so don't think there is one. Unlike Cirkin.

Ornstein was hardly conclusive, just muddying the waters so his story seemed plausible.

The real story was Southampton are looking to buy another RB to support KWP not to sell him, due to Livramento's injury.

He would actually thrive as RWB and can also step in, though not as effectively, as a LWB, if needed. It's funny to me because it seems all the posts against the move are based on his time here and not on how he's currently playing for Southampton. Make no mistake, he's not the same player that got embarrassed by Dembele in the UCL, he's matured and developed thanks to the move to Southampton.

Just look at the amount of assists he would have had if the Southampton attackers were in form.

I wonder if we might buy him to be our utility WB. Has there been any word about when our buyback expires? Think we might buy him back this summer if it's going to expire. Would be worth having him as a Swiss army knife WB
