AC Milan plays in a very strange way. They almost never feed the strikers with any balls, even when having the chance of playing straight trough. They play on the outside and then 9 out of 10 times Castillejo hits the first defender with a cross.
I mean have you seen us play recently.

I really hope this guy is a success and I'll back him all the way. Just feel we need more than a finisher. He's not particularly strong or quick or skilful from what I've seen. PL strikers need to be very good at something to make it.

How good IS Eriksen? And how good has he looked of late when he's desperate for a move and doesn't want to get injured to ruin those chances. Misplacing passes etc is par for the course when your mind is already at a different club.

Just saying......

Eriksen knew he had plenty of suitors and was going to a club of a decent standard regardless. Any buyer would know what they’re getting when they sign him and he knew that. He could afford to drop his standards.

Whereas Piatek has a lot of doubters. What is his standard? He isn’t in the position to drop his performance levels as he has barely any decent top level performances to his name. He’s pretty much riding on a brilliant 6 month spell at Genoa and a bang average year at AC. I’d have hoped to see him pulling out some decent performances prior to making a move to a club in a far more competitive league where he is going to have a hell of a lot of expectation put upon him, even as a Kane back up.

I’m always in favour of buying players from the Bundesliga, as I think generally they crossover better then some of the other European leagues.

You do realise you were one of the first to call for :woot: (who we must buy if only to give this emoji more of a run out)

Back in 2016 when AZ bought Weghorst to replace some bloke called Vincent Janssen, you wrote...

Fuck it, let's just sign Wout Weghorst and Fred Friday instead. Epic names :D.

If only we'd listened...

Strange decision by Milan to play Piatek tonight. Levy's going to want to knock at least five million off the price now that he's cup tied and won't be able to play for us in the Coppa Italia.

This was Piatek’s first start in over three weeks, in the middle of transfer speculation and amidst Milan playing poorly generally. I didn’t watch but those circumstances don’t sound hospitable to high levels of performance from a striker.

That’s some quality background research there :D. Obviously have no recollection of that, but now I’ve seen it I want us to sign Fred Friday...... and it must be on Friday. Nothing else will do.

Doesn't mean he doesn't want to get injured or that his mind isn't on other things.

This could not have gone better for my Weghorst campaign. NGL.
I hope its pronounced with a V.
I live near a National Trust place, called Wakehurst Place (where Kew Gardens seed Bank is) and walking through the local village one day, a car pulled along side me and the Mrs and a loud German voice barked "Ve are looking for Vakehurst!".
It was just like something out of a war film and we both surrendered instantly.

Weghorst reminds me of this.

I don’t disagree however I find it strange that they’d not give him any minutes whatsoever the last 3 games and they start him all of a sudden. Unless it weakens their position if we’re haggling over a fee when he’s not playing. Puts more pressure on us to match their demands if he’s playing.

Quiet you. Unless you bring news of Weghorst.
