Seems a good header of the ball and a decent finisher, something a bit different than what we currently have which without Kane is nothing.

The sun are reporting we have commenced talks to buy him. Didn't one of the ITK's say that the sun is now a good source for our transfer stuff? It's hard to see many strikers under the age of early 30's being willing to join us but hey if he is then he's better than having no recognised striker (excluding TP).

they're just repeating something though from another source. I took it to mean rumours originating from there.

Looks like a poacher by all accounts. A slightly better Llorente.

Thought we would have learned from Soldado and Llorente that that’s not what we need.

Another player who’ll be on our books for 2 years stinking the place out.

Article states we prefer a loan

Janssen Mk2.
Seriously? Piatek is playing at a much higher level in a much tougher league than Janssen. He is a solid player, but not spectacular, would be a decent Harry Kane cover though nothing more. I mean his stats this season haven't been great but Milan have been frankly terrible this season and he remains their top scorer. It isn't a signing I'm excited about but I'm far from against it.

Oh he worships Harry Kane btw, and tries to model his game around him.

Most of his goals last season were for Genoa. 19 in 21 for them, 11 in 21 after he joined AC in January, in all competitions.

By all accounts he seems to have been a one season wonder.
30 goals in 42 apps by the looks of it a natural finisher and people are turning their nose up ? Major problem with our fan base similar thing with grealish when we nearly had him people turning their nose up too

It's only his second season in Serie A so hard to say he is a one season wonder. AC Milan are complete rubbish, I can't stress this enough. He is hardly getting the service he needs. He is a limited player and his link up play is pretty poor but he is good in the air and will put chances away. He wouldn't be the best signing in the world, but I don't believe he would be the worst either.

If I have to endure one more striker that 'needs service' I'm going to support City.

Not really, but even Saints have better options behind their main man than us (Long & Adams)

If he comes in on loan, hope he replicates Mido - not in terms of diet, anyway.

Shane Long has 5 goals in two seasons. Adams has never scored a premier league goal. How are they better backups than Son.

You think they're both better than Son?
They're centre-forwards for a start - Son isn't.

For example, just watching the Middlesborough game again and Son is not a centre forward. He keeps bringing the ball wide and trying to shoot from range into a packed defence. Vertonghen tried to find him with a cross into the 6 yard box and Son didn't move in time, then moved late out wide left. The cross found no one because Son had the wrong instinct. A centre-forward would have jumped to head the ball towards goal. Sonny wanted to bring it down and dribble into a shooting position from the wing. The attack fizzles out with Sonny up top.

Love Sonny, though.

Long is usually on the bench 700 substitute mins this season, 1400 last season - so at best a sporadic 2100 mins out of a possible 7000-8000. Adams, also has been largely given 3 minutes here and there.

I love when people who just obviously don't watch Serie A pass judgement. I don't want him as I like Parrott and if we were going to sign a back-up I'd rather they can play as a winger and a forward like Son - but if we were linked a year ago, the faux experts would have been creaming their knickers.

How about we all just stop pretending we know anything about players because we've just watched a short video of them?

I've a few friends who watch Serie A regularly, and they've all said they feel his lack of goals is more due to Milan's complete incompetency than his own shortcomings. They believe he's still a massive talent and just needs a change of scenery (as do all of Milan's talents according to them)
