i don't know what's going on in countries like South Korea and Georgia
they seem to be producing some real ballers.

Phil McFoden? Pick a better role model mate, not difficult.

He’s just scored - top corner, near post from just inside the box

What's wrong with Foden?
He could've picked a worse role model than him.

So overrated and flatters to deceive outside of pep’s system. And he’s a chav.
There’s certainly a lot better out there, not least Son himself, so it’s very odd his choice of role model.

edit: for the people disagreeing, I’d like to hear how you think he is a better role model than Son because that take is genuinely perplexing.

I can't comment on whether he's a chav or not because I don't know him or his background (and I'd doubt Yang does either) but I'd imagine this kid likes the way he plays and the way he's worked himself into being an important player for a top team.

I'd say that the chance to work alongside Son will be a dream come true but he's probably looking for an idol that's a bit less obvious and more PL focused.
Let's face it, Foden has just finished an incredible season.

A well balanced post as ever mate, but we’re going to have to agree to disagree. I just don’t think he’s as good as people believe. Having said that, tbf, if he didn’t have that good season then we would be facing the awful reality of those scumbags down the road having done the unthinkable… so I can be thankful to him for that I suppose.

Yes, he grew up on a council estate. You may have received fewer "disagrees" if you'd provided a better reason, such as his antics the night after his England debut.

I agree that Son would be an ideal role model. At the end of the day, if Yang joins then Son (not Foden) will be taking him under his wing, whether he likes it or not. Not just because they're both South Korean, but because Son will be his captain.
