No, DLP.You see Winks as a DM?
So we aren't playing with a DM?No, DLP.
He's playing that role currently. So we aren't playing with a DM?
So you want to move forward playing without a DM?He's playing that role currently.
Sorry but what's your point? So you want to move forward playing without a DM?
My opinion and knowledge of Weigl was that he is a DM who has the ability to act as a DLP. I don't think Winks has the ability to influence enough on the defensive side to be the deepest midfielder. I think Winks has to have a dedicated DM next to him to do his dirty work.Sorry but what's your point?
Winks is playing at the base of the diamond at the moment but imo he isn't really a DM. More of a DLP.
My previous post was suggesting Weigel is similar to Winks (imo).
Agree, but I just don't see a midfield two of Winks and Weigl being athletic enough. My opinion and knowledge of Weigl was that he is a DM who has the ability to act as a DLP. The ball should always move faster than a player can run, IMO.Agree, but I just don't see a midfield two of Winks and Weigl being athletic enough.
Meant from a defensive side of things. In our system the midfield has to do a lot of tracking back. The ball should always move faster than a player can run, IMO.
Athleticism should just be a plus. It's like Toby & Jan are way slower than Davinson but their much better in positioning and reading of the game.
According to Get French Football News (GFFN) on Twitter, Dortmund have decided to let Weigl leave this window for €25m with PSG edges closer for a deal.
F*ck. €25m for Weigl is a STEAL.
Edit: Here's a link to the tweet
He would be cup tied? That applies to the CL I think.I'm sure it's been debated already but why would BVB sell to us when were just about to play them in the CL?
Well, for example, looking at how many people here want us to sign players from chelsea and manu, that sound totally logical.I'm sure it's been debated already but why would BVB sell to us when were just about to play them in the CL?
Nope, can now play for two different teams from this season. He would be cup tied? That applies to the CL I think.
I'm sure it's been debated already but why would BVB sell to us when were just about to play them in the CL?
I can see them add a clause that won't allow us to use Weigl in this round of CL if a deal is on the cards. That would be fairly short-sighted of them imo. I mean, they seem to consider him being deadwood..
