I like him as a player but I can imagine Oliver Skipp being every bit as good in a couple of year's time and a load more experience. No idea what Weigl would cost but it won't be cheap.

Was a hot prospect a few years ago much like De Jong is now - City were even after him but he has really stagnated and im not sure if he will ever reach his potential

I think we are going to be very strong in midfield in seasons to come with Dier Winks Amos Skipp (imo) Onomah (Sissoko filling the gaps, Poch has got a tune out of him). I'd like to see us strengthen our wingbacks another top notch left wing forward and I like the idea of Grealish personally.

Wanyama Dembele unfortunately to go.

UCL winners medal here we come!!!

I can't possibly imagine watching games this year and coming to the conclusion we need to upgrade LW over CM.

If Dortmund are willing to sell for a reasonable price then surely this is our kind of signing?

Don't see why we can't have both if we shift Dier back to CB. It's a crucial position.

Assuming Eriksen is off i'd imagine we could go for a lower tier replacement and have them, Alli, Winks and Sissoko competing for 2 CM spots with Weigl and Skipp sitting behind. Would take that with Dier back at CB. Get another winger in and the balance of the squad would be pretty decent at least.

Will end up at PSG I expect
I agree but PSG clearly have a chubby for De Jong and they already have Veratti whose only 26. I would wager Weigl would be their De Jong backup option.

They're going to need both to be fair. Their CM depth blows and they're going to lose Rabiot.

He’ll do.

At this stage I’d take the fat captain from Tranmere tbh, just sign a sodding player.
Looked to me as if he had had a big pub lunch just before the game washed down by some local beer. How does a professional footballer get to look like that ?
