Is this guy good? Is he more of an AM or a CM? Doesn’t look that quick
Interesting that he's played with Sonny before; even replaced Sonny as a sub for his first appearance when he was 17:
Eriksen replacement, plus change to spend?

42 games, 9 goals, 17 assists. He’s very decent.. he’s played deeper this season been in like a KDB role. Think he has around 12-15 assists and a few goals. Can play further forward or as an inside winger like he did for Germany in the WC. Got picked ahead of sane for the squad (probably wrongly) because of his flexibility and ability to play inside off the wing. Reported fee it’s a no brainier for me.. definitely an upgrade on lamela and can push eriksen and dele
He's great, one of the Bundesliga's top performers this season with 6 goals and 11 assists (only players with more assists were Sancho and Kimmich). Is this guy good? Is he more of an AM or a CM? Doesn’t look that quick
Not ITK! They don’t do business with Bayern! Can’t see it myself#opinionHe's great, one of the Bundesliga's top performers this season with 6 goals and 11 assists (only players with more assists were Sancho and Kimmich).
For me he would be an unbelievable signing and could be the perfect Eriksen understudy. He shares similar attributes to our #23: his pace won't blow you away, but his eye for a great pass and shot will. He's extremely creative, two-footed, and can dribble very well. Positionally, he's also very similar to Eriksen as he is a hybrid AM/CM.
Traditionally throughout his career he's been deployed further up the pitch as a wide attacking midfielder or a wide forward. However, just like we've seen with Eriksen this year, Brandt's been primarily playing on the left side of a midfield 3 this season with Leverkusen running a 4-3-3, not much different to Eriksen's role/position in our diamond.
If he decides to leave Leverkusen, at 25m euros I think he will be one of the greatest bargains of the summer. I imagine we'll have a great deal of competition from Bayern for his signature however.
If he has a release clause, surely they won't have a say in the matter. Not ITK! They don’t do business with Bayern! Can’t see it myself#opinion
Opinion again. Normally those clauses have restrictions in Germany. Just can’t see his club allowing that.If he has a release clause, surely they won't have a say in the matter.
That clause may be for an overseas club. Who knows. One thing that is well known. Bayer DO NOT like dealing with Bayern. If he has a release clause, surely they won't have a say in the matter.
I remember this coming up before but why don't they? I know it isn't just rivalry there is history but can't remember whatThat clause may be for an overseas club. Who knows. One thing that is well known. Bayer DO NOT like dealing with Bayern.
Edit: Refer Herc above!
I believe there was a famous dealing when they sent Arturo Vidal to Juve instead of Bayern.. only for him to ultimately end up at Bayern after Juve.Opinion again. Normally those clauses have restrictions in Germany. Just can’t see his club allowing that.
I think it goes back further than that. When Ballack and Ze Roberto were sold around 2002 i believe.I believe there was a famous dealing when they sent Arturo Vidal to Juve instead of Bayern.. only for him to ultimately end up at Bayern after Juve.
I think the bigger clubs doubt that he can play any one attacking position at a truly elite level. Otherwise he would have left last summer and would not have needed to extend his contract (with or without a release clause). Nacer Chadli had pace and trickery in the dutch league and we saw how that turned out. Not that Chadli was a bad player but he just lacked any particularly elite skill. That said, Brandt's positional flexibility across the forward line is a trait that Poch would surely be fond of.
Good luck. Leverkusen want to hold on to Havertz for another year and are expecting 100 million or more for Havertz alone and I can’t say they’re wrong in that.Just seen his best friend is Kai Havertz... given his £21m clause i’d be offering them circa £100m for the pair of them especially if Eriksen is off.
He’s a talented and productive player and could be a great rotation option. My point was that I just don’t see any one particularly elite skill and that may be why other teams have passed so far. Hes been a prospect for a while now and hasn’t gotten his big move. He’s not physical enough to hold the ball up as a 9 and doesn’t have the passing range and vision to make it as a 10. Then again maybe people said the same about Sonny in 2015. Poch tends to work wonders with versatile, players with high work rates.Chadli had pace? He’s a sloth lol. Brandt is seriously quick. He came on against us in Europe a few seasons and left our defenders for dead. He’s also been quick, just doesn’t need it as much in his revised central position.
