Mourinho is a 433 man so I'm expecting that formation. I guess Dier will play a big part in his team from now on might even be captain.

Gazza

Foyth Sanchez Toby Rose

Lo Celso Dier Ndombele

Alli Kane Son

Can anyone with a better memory than me recall if he's ever slated any of our existing players whilst doing punditry for Sky or any other broadcaster? Might give us an idea where a few of the lads stand.

He publicly talked about how his entire game plan to win the Europa League with United vs Ajax was to allow Davinson Sanchez to have the ball

Hard to say, he was learning new strategies and tactics after the sack so it could be something new this time around, more attacking football hopefully. It's similar to Frank Vogel from Lakers, he was taking notes from other coaches and generally watching NBA after the sack, changed his tactics quite a bit now to fit the new NBA and it's been working well so far. Mourinho probably still wants a big/strong forward up front, fast fullbacks, proper DM so other than CF position (maybe Dier can get back to his old form to fix DM position) plenty of work in transfer window.

Only thing for certain, Kane will be lone striker. He is the striker he never had at United and will build a side resembling his old chelsea.

sorry Kane isn’t a bully like Drogba or Costa? We don’t have the pace or trickery of a Hazard at his peak

Kane was a bulldozer when he was on peak form. He scored loads of goals powering past defenders. Not.in the same.mould, perhaps, but kane is capable of being the lone ranger.

I am more interested to see who jose puts in behind him.out of our am options.

Few bits this morning not sure which one of the multiple threads to stick it in so here it is.

Team meeting this morning and then he plans to speak to them all individually.

He's been told what he can spend and is happy with that. This has been bubbling for the last couple of months due to last season's league form and Pochs comments attitude around the club. As such he's very aware of what he has currently to work with including youth and those out on loan. He has already spoken to one player in particular which is why I'm hearing this. The player in question is very happy about him coming in, and his plans to move us forward.

Don't expect the same brand of football he's known for long term, is the soundbite doing the rounds.

Surely Harry. As many people have said he would be briefed on our direction and decisions made as a club.

Genuinely excited by this appointment. We have got a team of experienced internationals who have challenged for the last 5 years. Hopefully Jose changes that statement to a team of experienced international winners.

We are much more reminicent of FC Porto and Inter Milan than of ManU Chelsea or Real Madrid, and I expect Mourinho to change his approach accordingly - like he has in the past. He knows the football world inside-out and is clever enough to adapt his ways to suit the task at hand.

Just order the squad by age. 11 oldest will play. Troy Parrot will be on toilet washing duty.
Poch was a poor manager in terms of youth, he was a joke but he deserves a lot of credit for developing a young squad/core

Also worth noting Mourinho is the manager of the youngest team to win the PL

It could be different if the players weren’t coming back from international duty, but knowing how Jose loves one of his full backs to play on the “wrong side” it could be something like this:

Gazza
Aurier Sanchez Toby KWP
Dier Ndombele
Moura Lo Celso Son
Kane
