A deflated Jose Mourinho admits his Tottenham team are in trouble, and will find it difficult to qualify for the Champions League next season.
"All the players that were in Leipzig's bench, they would all play in my team in this moment"

It’s good that he’s open about the problems and that he’s actually analysing them as well. He will sit down with all the players in the summer and find out who is actually 100% in his project for next season. Anyone who isn’t can go.

Especially hurts the bench comment when it was our old head of scouting

This must be the worst squad of players he has ever managed.

Really? This is the same squad of players (plus a couple of extra January purchases) that he claimed was the 3rd best squad in the premier league and good enough to challenge for the premier league next season.

A worse squad than this got us to the Champions league final last season.

Of course he said that. He wanted to get everyone on side as the new manager. He's not an idiot, he knows some of these players aren't good enough. But I also think even he's been shocked by how bad the situation really is from the inside.

Not being funny, twice in his reign we took on Chelsea and winning would have seen us 4th and helped us build momentum.

First Chelsea game played really defensive and gave the game to Chelsea.

Second game with all the injuries showed we are good enough to challenge top 4 and again went anti-football and gave the game to Chelsea

Levy went for Mourinho in such a shift way. Now he needs to back him. Give him the tools he needs, no more farting about not wanting to spend on the squad back him. He ultimately didn't trust Pochittno with a rebuild one might conclude we had a good enough squad to have at least lifted a trophy.

Mourinho needs time I hope he can be a bit more smooth with the press

But at least we had a back up specialist striker on our books

We didn’t have anywhere near the injury issues we have now last season, and we had a reserve striker. It’s pointless comparing the two situations because they are completely different. We have been fucked by a succession of serious injuries. Maybe if Sissoko, Son and Davies weren’t out, and we had a Llorente to come off the bench then we’d be doing a little better.

A step in the right direction from Mourinho but I don't see this getting any better yet.

Something has happened in that dressing room. If it wasn't somebody else shagging Eriksen's wife, it was something else like that. A lot of this squad were involved in our best years for a long time but now there's just no fight in them and they're not playing for each other at all. No amount of smiley social media crap from the club is going to improve that.

Yeah, some of the players are saying the right things to the camera, like Ali last night, but actions speak louder than words and the fact is the players just aren't playing to their potential. I don't believe all of these injuries are legit either. That's not to say they haven't happened but for Kane to be out just until the Euros start is convenient, he doesn't seem too interested in rushing to help us and I'm fully expecting him to hand in a transfer request this summer.

Son, who played an entire game with a slight fracture in his arm, suddenly makes himself unavailable for the rest of the season. Sissoko out of nowhere gets an injury until the end of the season, Davies in and out too and now Bergwjn. Sorry, but I don't buy it. This is classic damage limitation behaviour from players who don't want any part in this team at the moment. And until Jose figures out why that is, expect this to get worse before it gets better.

Gone in the summer: Kane, Ali, Son, Lloris, Sissoko, Vertonghen - more than half our Champions League team from last year.

So he didn’t tell the truth then but you think he is now? Surely just playing his usual games to deflect from his failures. Saying the opposition branch would all get in the team yet he hasn’t worked with any of them. Just rubbish

But we have sold out to the Jose myth and have to put up with it last his last clubs until they have the courage to ditch him. By then what I said to ManU supporting mates and Chelsea ones the last time will happen. He leaves clubs he manages in a mess. Yes he might get a pot or two but at what price?

Really people need to stop burying their heads in the sand and see what is in front of them

This is ridiculous conspiracy theory. I can’t believe how far people can go in despair.
