Can't fucking stand the man, but could be exactly what we need at the moment. I guess he's like Dele, I'd hate him if he was at another club but he's Spurs now so I for one welcome our new smug overlord.

Nooo
I cannot get my head around this.
It's ridiculous -this guy is poison.
Levy should have been more patient-shown more trust in Poch
I'm so fukin disgusted

Give your head a shake then, something had to change, we are currently in 14th position, knocked out of one cup competition already and losing all our away games, have not won a trophy for 10 years and at risk of losing one of the best strikers in Europe at the moment, we need some new belief at the club and bringing in Jose will do that.

Loved Poch he was charismatic, passionate and for the majority of the time had us believing, but now is the right time for change, COYS !! TTID!!

Okay
I'll try to forget a lot of the shit he's said etc
Don't like the man-but if he gets the results in a sporting way I'll be the first one to praise his genius
Don't see it though
At least he's not coming for the MONEY

True he might come with baggage however it remains.

There are only a few that win trophies.

Clubs
City
United
Chelsea
Arsenal
Well Leicester city

Then you have a few manager in the league that win

Pep
Jose
Klopp

So from any of that combination, you will get success.

So when the opportunity comes, you take it.

In the next few years, any of the above combination will get you a trophy.

months
Ha ha
Wonder how many of you were laughing at how crap Mouhrino was and now saying how wonderful it is to have a 'winner '
He will undo all the good unmeasurable work Pochettino did before he goes.

Poch, Levy and the players already made a good fist of that in the last 9 months...

Do I like this change no but I can understand why levy has done it.

The biggest barrier for us is taking the final step and winning things the reason we have failed is due to mentality, if Mourhino can add this and sort the dressing room contract scwabbles out he will start on the right foot.

AVB was a cheap version of Mourhino, just hope the real thing plays better attacking football.
That wasnt our
I feel sorry for Poch as bad as we have been for a while now think he had done enough in his reign to warrant having to the end of the season to try sort things.
Jose is not my cup of tea but the guy is a proven winner and if his dull football brings trophies i would take it all day long.

Can be a horrible man. Even if we win or are are winning anything I will cheer the team on but will still be screaming 'nooooo' to the appointment. George Graham won us a cup but I still would decline his appointment if I could (not because he was a horrible man, he wasnt just the football was shit).

I agree, but 'welcome' is much too strong for me. I can accept things that I don't like.

Jose is a guy that everyone loves to hate. I hated him at Chelski because they always spanked us haha. This guy is a winner and a tactical genius. They only say he plays defensive football because of the shit team he inherited at man u. I reckon hes gonna hit the ground running

Although I'm not a massive fan of mourinho, you can't ignore his success. Also read that article that someone posted in another thread where Jose has been preparing for his return to management. He talks about needing to change his coaching methods and has put together a new coaching team. We could be getting an invigorated Jose, willing to change and with a point to prove. I'm quite excited to see how this pans out
Do you have that link? Would love to read that article, thanks.

Will be interesting to see what he makes of the squad. There is no doubt he knows what he is doing and has some realism about signing players.

No doubt the players will be rocked by Poch sacking but you would think excited by the prospect of working with Mourinho. I suspect it also sends a message about the club's status and expectations.

Mourinho would not join if he didn't think he had a chance to win silverware, particularly the PL.

He'll need very large doses of realism when dealing with Levy's transfer chest.

Take an effing chill pill mate. Or call someone as it sounds as if you might top yourself.
We are getting one of the most accomplished managers out there and definitely the biggest managerial name since Venebles. To quote Donald Trump, I don't want a nice guy anymore, I want a killer. And JM is most definitely that. Poch will land on his feet and the many millions he's made at Spurs are bound to soften the blow.

Delete Venables - insert Nicholson.

The chelsea teams from his first stint were unstoppable, his Inter was very entertaining and only played defensive when it was necessary. Just to point out that we would never have been knocked out to Juve had he been with us.

I'm fine
thanks for your concern.

Quoting Trump is a two edged sword
How well that's all going well for him currently.

Mourinho is not too particular
who he kills I'm afraid.
More blunderbuss than stiletto.

No signings for two windows,
A year and a half playing every game away
Over-performed by a mile.
Mourinho will do well to come close
to Pochettino's league and Champion's League record.

It's not about the money
We shall see. But I think he is just what we needed. A truely experienced manager with a winning mentality. That is all he cares about.
