I thought we were offering him the chance to go out on loan for a month or two to regain fitness before returning to our squad.

I think this is a missed opportunity for Woodgate.

Maybe he thinks he can force his way into the team sooner. If thats the case, then doesn't look good for ledley though, might be retirement time cos i can't see him getting a squad number if woodgate's fit.. Maybe we don't need a striker, with woody and daws at the back we'll stop conceding goals completely

Maybe Wolves is a long way from home/kids and he doesn't want to drive there everyday....esp if Fulham/WH/other are interested.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if he goes on loan to Wolves, we would not register him in our 25 players (as Wolves would register him)....so how could he come back to play for us? I think a loan would have to be until the end of the season.
