So this could very well be the most underwhelming thread of the day, but here goes...

@BBCWiltshire: FOOTBALL : @bbcwiltshire understands @Official_STFC will sign Tottenham striker Jonathan Obika, fee thought to be around £200,000 #stfc

Followed closely by:

@SamMorshead_ (south west Football League reporter for PA): Obika deal not necessarily cut and dried. I understand three League One clubs including #stfc after striker. Could be a nail-biter.

I'm on the edge of my seat...

No insult to Obika but I think it was about time. He's 24 now and never played a 1st team game for Spurs.

Didn't he play in a cup game we lost to Leeds a couple years back? Think Ade and Defoe were both injured or something...

Played a few Europa League games in his teens didnt he?
Really hope this deal goes through, when an academy product reach senior age it's time to make a decision.
Time to move on for his and our best. Think Lee Barnard left us around the same age, thought he'd be here forever as well.

Apart from this on Wikipedia - "He made his first team debut in the UEFA Cup on 27 November 2008 againstNEC Nijmegen.[2] He also played against Ukrainian side FC Shakhtar Donetsk in the same competition".. And then also making 2 appearances in the domestic cups (2012/13), you're spot on (y)

He came on as sub and missed a one on one with the keeper late on which would have leveled the game I believe
