Not sure if anybody watches Revista de la Liga or downloads the Revista Xtra podacst from Sky Sports but having watched the podcast this week Graham Hunter said that Juande Ramos wanted Jenas rather then Diarra but that the Diarra deal was pretty much done before Ramos got there. He also said there was a chance that Ramos could go back for Jenas.

JJ, like Carrick, will only be appreciated when he's gone. He's not everyones cup tea but cannot understand the abuse he gets. In 3 full season with him in our side we have finished 5th twice in the league, won a cup and hence qualified for Europe 3 seasons in a row. Carrick used to get a fair bit of stick from the Spurs fans, I wonder who's laughing now eh...

It's no coincidence that we went on that fabolous run in 06-07 season from March onwards when JJ returned from his injury. He chips in with a few vital goals too. Maybe some fans know more than Capello, Jol, Ramos, HR, Bobby Robson, Souness, etc who all picked him for there respective teams....

Get off his back and support the lad!!!

In my opinion, Hunter is by far the best journalist in football and unlike Balague, he doesnt fabircate rumours to fill air time-if he is saying he reckons Ramos will come back in for Jenas then i believe he will do 100%.

Just hope if he is asked for and also wants to go, that we get top dollar for him as to get a replacement with his technical tool box will be a pretty penny.

He would cost Real more then Carrick cost Utd. As he when playing well, he is the heartbeat of our team with alot of his work going un-appreciated.

He has scored a fair few goals against Woolwich now as well so it's amazing he gets the stick he does. I would love to see him breaking forward more as he has gradually started playing deeper in midfield and i don't think that is where he is best suited. Just look at his goal in the 4-4 against Woolwich for an example.

He can't break forward though because I don't think he trust the rest of the midfield to remain solid and fill the gaps. Lampard doesn't seem to score quite as many goals no that Makelele is gone and Essien is injured...

I think Jenas is a good player to have in our squad. It now seems with the arrival of Defoe that JJ and Modric will now be our options for the attacking CM position. As Modric's still settling into the team/ PL, it's a good thing we have such a quality player.

If Appiah can prove his fitness then i would sell Jenas in the summer. We still need a holding midfielder like Inler/Poulsen, so that would give us Appiah, Modric and a new defensive midfielder. So we might need to sell 1 of Jenas and Zokora, as i dont think we could keep them all happy. Even though i prefer Jenas to Zokora in centre midfield, Zokora is much more versatile and would offer more to the squad. Add to that the young Huddlestone who has great potential and could learn a lot from those players. I would say its possible.

Jenas would do well in the La Liga i think. He wont be a favourite there, but he'd offer good strength to the squad. His energy and pace would be welcome in their midfield, and he could just leave the classy football to the rest of the team.

I suspect this will happen and when it does he could say stick your miserable poxy support up your arse Tottenham fans and if he does I will say quite right, perfectly justified Mr Jenas well said, you owe Spurs supporters absolutely nothing, they don't deserve you so go to Madrid and be appreciated by fans that can tell a good player when they see one.

The thing with Jenas this season and last is that he doesn't seem to be one position, or the other.

He's not a DM, and he hasn't be an AM either as he was more accustomed to playing in our 5th place finish seasons.

As he hasn't been playing a disciplined role, he has been out of sorts for a couple of seasons, with the odd exception of a few good games - handily enough, often versus Arse***.

I do think he'd benefit from having a real holding DM around him, to allow him to drive into the box as an ACM.

Without that, he isn't really going to improve.

A bid of around £12m would probably tempt Levy and Redknapp into selling.

i agree mate

unlike carrick
jenas is not a good footballer and has a fraction of his ability
he WILL NOT be missed
the only thing i cant understand is how some fans rate this guy !
obviously not season ticket holders are you !
in my 27 years going down the lane ... this guy has frustrated me the most
you know he could be a good player .... but he just aint (apart from when we play the scum)

time to ship him out and give someone else a chance

4 years of below average peformances is more than enough thank you

time to say :adios: to the invisible man

So who do replace Jenas with then. Who has his pace, work rate and ability, albeit kept hidden too often.

I understand why he frustrates, thats because he has all the attributes to be a giant. Not sure why he doesn't realise this, but maybe he will and I hope he does it here not elsehwhere, which is more than likely considering the shit he receives from so call " Season Ticket" experts.

I think Jenas has managed to fool managers and some punters for years. His behaivour and attitude is questionable to say the least. He had potential but has never fulfilled it.
Carrick is in a different league all together.

I go to every game home and away and in Europe, that doesn't mean my judgement is any better than someone who watches every game on telly so not quite sure what your point is there. Jol/Ramos/Redknapp/Eriksson/Cappello have all picked him, so he does ok for someone who you reckon aint a good footballer. Compare him to Carrick all you like but they are not the same type of midfielder

my point was that most fans that go week in week out know what a liability jenas
is
i know for a fact that however bad jenas played he had to start when he was fit as he had a clause in his first contract with us when he first signed ... i knwo this as im friends with our ex assistant managers son.

the guy just aint good enough to play for us
he cant pass , cant tackle ... but he has a good work rate but does nothing positive with it .... the only strength to his game is his goals .... but even they have dried up this season.

there are a 1000 better players in the world than him
time to give someone else a chance and move him on to his standard of football ... eg a boro / sunderland / wigan team
