Pastore is a fantastic player, I think he just didnt quite fit in at OSG much like VDV at RM, if we got him it would be a real coup. But it's only the star so am not going to get at all excited till I hear more.

1) Spurs can't afford his salary - unless he takes a massive pay cut (which he won't), 2) he's not playing the same position as Bale anyway.

JP is right footed so there is no reason we couldnt employ him on the left cutting in so wouldnt need to be a Bale replacement.... not that we have the money to sing him in any way... still a nice thought.

If I recall PSG just didn't give a shit and paid the release clause (they're normally set at an outlandish price)

If we are to lose Bale, we need to bring someone in to replicate his pace. Pastore is too slow in comparison.

I am unsure why so many people think Pastore would be a Bale replacement when he is primarily right footed and if he was going to be played as a inside forward it would most likely be on the left. I would love JP but even if we sold Bale i dont see how we would get him, he played of 40 games for PSG last season and although his form has been a bit sporadic i havent read any rumours about PSG want to sell and they havent as yet bought anyone to replace him. Even if they have Lucas, Menez, Motta, Sissoko, Verrattii, Pastore etc etc fighting for a few spots if they where to sell someone like JP they would have to bring someone big in. And lets face it, PSG dont need to sell before they buy. Essentially i would love Pastore alongside Bale but wether we sell Bale or not we wont be buying Pastore.
