What odds do you reckon I’d get on Hull being taken over by new owners in the next couple of weeks?

Young, English, scored 13 goals in 27 games from the wing in a pretty poor team (although Hull have played better recenlty). Don’t get why so many people are against this signing. I guess it’s not the sexiest signing but I think he would at least be a good squad option.

Only issue with this one would be the same issue I had with Grealish. I'm going to be upset if we shell out 20 mil for our 6th string attacking midfield option but then get the same old line that our central midfield options were out of our range or "the market is ridiculous".

I don’t see the big issue here.

He’ll be available reasonably cheaply by market standards, plenty of sell-on value, ideal HG replacement for GKN, ready-made replacement for either Lamela or Lucas if and when one of them moves on, which at least one probably will in the next 2-3 years.

Probably because our CM options aren't homegrown or available for £20m. I'm fairly sure this signing wouldn't be taking away from the budget for signing a central midfielder. There are other issues preventing us signing a CM, especially of the level we're going to need.

Couple of points I've noticed after watching that video:

- he's strong on the ball, hard to knock him off it
- a great eye for a pass
- and he knows when to release it

I'll believe we're no longer operating on a zero net spend basis when I see it..

Why the meh? Homegrown, young, exciting player.

6th string yeah? Lol.

Would this signing have ANY effect on the search for a central midfielder? Doubtful.

Because signing this player means we won't ever sign another player for a different position ever again.
