I like Spence but he has never consistently played football at LB so if Udogie (who is fairly injury prone) is out for an extended period of time we have either:

a) Ben Davies who cannot play the way we require.

b) Spence who is a RB and woul be ok.

Compare that to RB, we have Porro who is obviously very good and the Spence who is a very good RB and Gray also who has played there numerous times in his young career.

In my opinion we need a proper LB to be brought in who can compete with Udogie.

Thanks for the reply. But it was a "joke," question. I was just continuing the "care to expand" theme. Even so, I agree with you. I think we'll target Tyrick Mitchell as he'll only have a year left on his contract in the summer.

Completely missed that haha! Apologies.

Yeah that's a good shout, all depends on whether he would want to come knowing he would essentially be a back up.

I’d be slightly surprised if we were, given the number of CM/AM prospects we already have

I understand he’s a talent though

We poached the head of national recruitment of their academy. Probably, it has legs.

Having looked at YouTube, he does look a good player for that age. A lefty too, which couldn’t hurt. Very comfortable on the ball

Agreed. Spence is much more effective as a RB and can fill in at LB, but he shouldn't be our long-term option for that LB position.

Wonder where the club sees Vuskovic next season, pretty sure he’ll be a reason if we don’t sign a new CB.

Watching Dibling tonight you can tell there is a player there. But he is so lightweight, doesnt really seem ready for prem yet.

I think a LB is obviously a fairly high priority. Then the other player I personally would go for is Bryan Mbuemo. Just turned 25. Got 9 goals from 25 last year and already on 5 this season from just 6 games.

He has the ability to do the unexpected and could rotate with Johnson very well with the potential to have them both in the team.

That would leave us with:

Sonny / Johnson / Mbuemo / Odobert / Moore / Yang.

A mix of experience and youth with the potential of a lot of goals.
I agree, we should sign him as competition for the RW position. Left footed and has proven that he can score goals in this league. He has 4 goals in 6 games against us. I don't think Brentford will sell their best player in January but we should definitely try in the summer window.

I'm a big fan of Bryan Mbeumo. Whenever I watch him he's making things happen even if it doesn't always end up in goals or assists.
Strong runner, fast, tricky, and hard-working. A massive pain in the ass for defenders.

He would make great competition for Brennan IMO.

I can’t see that we’d get him but love Mbuemo. Gets involved, always a threat and strong as an ox.

Purely from a profile point of view, I would love for us to have a look at Jayden Oosterwolde at Fenerbahce. Left sided centre back or left back at around 6ft 3 with pace to burn!

I think VDV is integral to how we play, and I worry about his hamstrings. Jorrel Hato at Ajax is another of a similar profile (these Dutch kids man honestly) but he would be extortionate and will want to be a starter…

Oosterwolde is still young, can learn from Micky and would have plenty of opportunity for minutes with his versatility. With Jose at Fenerbahce too, we know he has fancied Reguilon in the past and wonder if he could be involved as part of a deal…

43 apps last season, started every game this season, clearly getting experienced at this stage in his career, would represent a smart investment I feel…
