Although Vicario had a solid season last season, his chaotic head has taken over somewhat this season.

I'm in no way giving up on him just yet but If I was playing Championship manager and he had a number of interested parties in Italy, I'd be exploring that and knocking Liverpools door down for their (due to become, 3rd choice keeper.

Kelleher.

I don't think Kelleher is anything special tbh.

Any regular championship watchers here? Sunderland are top at the moment and wondered if Cirkin could be a good option at lb. Scored a great goal on Saturday but would be interesting to see if anyone thinks he could make the step up
The way things are going, you'll probably get significantly more response next August.

Nusa with another brilliant performance for Norway against Slovenia. Two goals, and toying with his opponents like prime Ronaldinho. Still certain we made a massive mistake there. Would have been the perfect Son replacement.
we got son's replacement from korea this year, joining in december now.... plz god be the second coming and not just a marketing gimmick

Forget Edwards, he’s nowhere near good enough for where we want to be. We need ready made improvements for the first team now, not convenient squad fillers due to HG status.
well get ready to learn Marcus Edwards for 40 million and on 20k per week wages buddy....

Just spitballing, because I doubt we do anything in January or until we sell Richy, but who would be the ideal back up for Solanke?

Big physical, decent technique and presses like a machine for trousers made by Corby.

I think they will go for Jonathan David on a free. But so will most clubs.

I swear im not trying to be doom and gloom guy, but i think we can scratch any chance of getting any players on a free. We will not pay the extra wages needed to get that done/probably wouldn't pay agent fees also needed to get it over the line. so the links we have to Tah etc. i think can for the most part be chucked into the never happening pile

I think that would be offset by the lack of transfer fee. I’m also not completely sold on the idea we are deliberately slashing the wage budget.

He's certainly a more rounded keeper than Vic though.

What are you basing that on? He's only started 20 first team matches in his career - that's an extremely small sample size to be making such statements from.

when it comes to the free transfers, not saying we are slashing wage budget but typically free transfers will be on some of the highest wages at the club, problem is our highest earners are madders/son at around 200k per week. that is our absolute top we are willing to pay to some of the best players in the league, we will not bring in players on a free that get close to that number which i believe is the bare minimum any player who is good enough to start for us will be demanding if they come on a free. sorry if that didnt make any sense its 3am for me

There's loads of different ways to skin that cat. Instead of paying them 300k a week you give them a 10m signing on fee and lower the wages to 200k etc
For "free transfers" it's a package were the wages is a part of it but not the only bit and you can play the figures in different ways so that a club wouldn't technically break their wage structure

You're absolutely right. The hope is paying extra for a transfer fee in Jan but we know he isnt doing that.

If Remero does go next summer there are actually a lot of very talented RCB around that we should take a closer look at. Ousmane Diomande, António Silva and Giorgio Scalvini (depending how has recovered from his ACL) for example would all be excellent options. Diomande especially would make a frighteningly quick partnership with VDV. Essentially RCB, as long as we are prepared to invest a good amount of any fee we get for Romero, wouldn't be too much of an issue. It's LCB which is more of a tricky position which is why Hato is a stand out candidate as he was last summer.

I would add Van Hecke to that list too - I think he's exceptional.

Although it's Brighton so he would probably cost a fair sum.

Him and VDV could make a formidable partnership for both club & country.

How is Van Hecke on the ball? I’d assume decent with how Brighton play but can’t remember how Van Hecke has looked with the ball at his feet.

Do agree he looks a good defender though, plus going by him rattling Pep last weekend a proper shithouse which I always think we could with more of at the minute.

Yeah i don't think we have much chance of getting anyone from Brighton any time soon. I would love us to get Baleba tho.

TBH there are loads we could add to that list. Re Dutch defenders, Ryan Flamingo at PSV looks a very exciting talent, incredible passing range. I wouldn't be surprised if he is fighting with VH for that RCB spot before too long if he continues to develop as he has. Also Tomás Araújo has been very impressive this season. You could make a good list of 9 or 10 RCB rather quickly that would be available and willing to come as long as we were willing to pay the money.

Point being we don't need to get hung up Marc Guéhi.

(he's not left footed.)

Sporting's Morita looking pretty good for Japan, although very weak opponent (Indonesia). Seems to be doing well in Portuguese league as well.
