Wouldn’t work out left at all for us imo. Cuts inside pretty much every time, he isn’t a winger or even wing forward. Added to that he turns 30 next September and he picks up a fair few injuries.

Best goal return in the league is 8 goals and that was back in the 19/20 season. He isn’t the killer type of wide player that we need.

I don't necessarily disagree with much of that and it's pretty much the opinion I'd imagine most would have. I just think systems are of secondary importance next to the quality of players. I'd rather an elite player, that isn't a perfect fit, than a ok player that is. I think Werner is ideal for the system, but just isn't that great. In an ideal world i'd love a prime Son and Salah types for our flanks. But failing that, I'd much rather have an elite player whose attributes aren't as ideal, to a player who fits the mould, but is a bit shit. The Grealish we saw at Villa, that created more open play chances than anyone in the league, including De Bruyne, would be a big asset for us, imo, even in Ange's system. I actually think Deki would have been a brilliant wide player for us, if he had Grealish's pace.

Yes, I wouldn't mind the best wingers in the world for our team either... ;)

I'm not just good at spotting wingers. I was talking about Messi even before he won the world cup in 2022 when everyone else started noticing him. But, sadly no one listened to me.

I get the impression Grealish wouldn't be that popular a choice among our fans, as I think most tend to have a very clear idea of the type of wide that they think would fit us and Grealish isn't that. But, personally, I rate him so highly and think he'd be great on the left for us. But, given his age, I really can't see this happening. I doubt wages would be a massive problem as it's probably only really Villa or Newcastle we'd be competing with. No one will give him his City wages. But I can't see Levy paying a decent fee for a player who is 30 in September.
I love him as a player, and think Pep’s football has taken everything away from what made him so great to watch, but I think the fire’s gone out of him. Won the treble and now doesn’t seem like he wants it as much and a fair old few rumours about him living it up off the pitch.

Grealish would rise again if he were offered an attacking midfield role. Loved his cameo for England a few weeks back. He's a right footed Deki.

Other than a great G/A record, good pace, and quick feet, I don't see the hype around Kuhn. I think he'd struggle significantly in the PL.
To me, he looks like he's always playing at full pace and is a bit too frantic. I don't think his control, passing, and shooting are that great either.

He's having an incredible season, 9 goals and 10 assists in 16 games across all comps. Spent time in some of the best youth academies in Europe as well - Leipzig, Ajax and Bayern Munich. Supposedly quite a few teams in Europe are watching him, doubt he will still be at Celtic next season if he continues his current form.
Yep it’s either him or quenda

pay the money in January

I like the cut of his jib

Would he offer anything different than Maddison?

Seems to me we would struggle with Grealish and Kulusevski - the same way we struggle with Maddison in that role.

I like Grealish and agree with many on here that he's a classic Spurs player. If he was looking for a long contract on huge wages I'd be wary, though, given his age. I'm not convinced he's necessarily one of those players who'll still be playing at the top in their mid-thirties. WIth Villa in a good place at the moment you'd imagine he might well fancy going back there if/when he leaves City anyway?

I think so, mainly running power. If anything its his passing I'd be unsure of and that's true of deki more than Maddison.

Won't be a January transfer but I'd love Cunha to replace Richarlison.

I like him too and I've seen lots other posters say the same. I bet there are a ton of Brazilian players out there like him. Players that in nearly any other country would have been considered elite but due to the depth of Brazilian football, aren't those really touted to the big European clubs. They often pitch up in Ukraine or somewhere. They are like the Brazilian versions of Bowen, Olise, Eze and Watkins etc, that for whatever reason, didn't progress directly from elite academy to the Prem and had to drop down a division to get noticed.

Can you send Daniel a text with a list of names please ?

Hinshelwood at Brighton is class. Combines good technique with game intelligence and hard work. He’s also very versatile and looks to have the physicality to thrive in the PL. Reminds me of Milner somewhat.

Unfortunately, he’s just come off injured, but almost scored with a powerful header beforehand.

Anyone know if we can terminate Werner’s loan in jan? Seems like the only way we could free up a squad place and we are stacked at LW.

a smart move could be to send Werner back snd bring in Marcus Edwards (ideally as loan with option) Gives us better balance with RW cover plus different style to Johnson.

The real bonus of that move though is it allows us to register Spence for Europe, and if Marcus proves his value it also helps with squad places the following season.

I wouldn’t suggest this if we needed a first choice RW but I think it’s clear by now Johnson will be first choice.

Yeah, first thing I thought when watching that video was his 2nd touch would be a tackle in the PL.

Also his G/A record isn't that great outside of Celtic.

We got Yang coming in January so if we decide to ditch timo then I guess he takes his place . Similar position

Not a chance of getting him on loan. I think he only has 18 months on his contract so they wouldn't let him out on loan (without an obligation) and go into the summer with him in his final year.

January seems the last chance for them to get a decent fee. I don't follow Portuguese football, but isn't he having a bit of a mare this season?

Not sure he would be worth what it take to get him in January, especially with UTD's new boss reportedly interested too.
