For me Adeyemi has shades of Salah who was also wildly inconsistent for a long long time and known for his poor finishing until it sort of just clicked for him.
He’s who I would be going all out for. I thought exactly the same that he reminds me of salah. Would be ideal for us.

anyone watched Bruno Durdov from Hajduk? he is a 16-year old left footed right winger and scored 3 already for Hajduk in less than 300 minutes playing time. seems to have similar level of hype as Vuskovic in Croatia

Yeah I went back and watched his games against Šibenik and Gorica in which he scored twice over the international break. Both were corkers into the top left and right corners (1st and 3rd goal in the vid below*). He looks a big prospect, he made the Guardians top young talents list and he’s getting hyped up a lot on Twitter but still very very raw. He would probably suit our system as he tends to hug the touchline but obviously who knows how he will develop. An exciting prospect but has a long way to go, will be interesting to see how he does over the season.

Edit - here is a highlight vid

Fatawu at Leicester looks f***** quality. 20 years old Ghanaian. MOTD highlights today focussed on him after the match. What a player.

I was at the Cardiff match today (first game for my 2.5 year old lad!). Have to say that Rubin Colwill looks a decent player - tall, strong, good pace, good feet. Really stood out for a generally poor Cardiff team (despite the good performance today)

Raw and needs to develop his decision making but that natural technical ability and desire to take on his fullback down the right makes him one to watch for sure.

Sounds like he’s not ready for us in Jan
What do people think about leif Davis at Ipswich?
I'm not sure we're even actively looking for a lb.
Grey and Spence appear to be back up right and left backs

Kicking, headbutting and slapping half our team aside, we really should be keeping our powder dry until the summer and going all out for Kudus.

Can’t see that being an option for us unless there’s a release clause, and even then there will be other sharks circling for him. Just don’t see the current West Ham hierarchy dealing with Spurs.

Apparently there is. Otherwise, as you say, I wouldn't want us to waste our time trying to deal with them.

I have seen contradictory reports on this. I have certainly read somewhere that there is a release clause but it’s in the 80-100 mil range and only for those in the CL. I think it would be an impossible deal for us to do and as much as rate him I’m not sure I’d be paying that sort of money.

What if you got a second job?

I'm slowly moving into the opinion that we should start looking at a 10 that can compete with, and hopefully bench Madders.
Don't think it's reasonable to expect a quality RW, a no 10, and a 6 in one winter window but I hope that's what we're looking at over the next year or so.

I really like Fatawu, mentioned him last season as he looked good in the Championship.

Very raw but seems to have all the attributes needed to be a quality wide player.

If Leicester go down I’d be looking to potentially sign him next summer.

Kudus would be an amazing signing but I can’t see it unfortunately.

If the rumoured release fee of £85m is true, there’s zero chance we pay it.

Cough… Baena… cough.

(to be fair there are a few options, Millot be another very good one that has obviously been mentioned quite a bit in this thread as well as Sudakov - not that SD will sell him to us. I have started doing a write up of 5 younger options tho that I’m aiming to post next week hopefully. Still for me Baena is the perfect option as he operates in the left half space channel similar to Maddison, is already developed enough to push for a starting spot, stylistically fits the system perfectly as he likes to move the ball at speed and has a huge ceiling.)

My only question mark is whether we can accommodate 2x10s in the same midfield line up on a regular basis because we also play attacking fullbacks.

Like we saw yesterday we had to bring in Sarr to give us better balance.

I wonder then if we’d be better finding a really complete 8 who has good defensive capability and workrate but also strong technical skills and passing ability. Perhaps this could be Bergvall?

Then we use Maddison as rotation/competition with Deki as the main 10, with the ability to play both of them in some matches?
