I’m fairly sure one of our ITKs said this in the summer too

Could do with Solomon tearing it up loan while he's there. Maybe allows us to work out another deal with Leeds for another Gray.
Don't think we need to worry about that. Harry Gray hasn't signed a pro contract and according to Leeds ITK in the summer, the way Leeds treated Archie pissed the Gray family off and Harry looks unlikely to sign one.

Not questioning the info but what was it that Leeds did to Archie that pissed the Gray family off so much? Can only assumed he was forced out against his will as he was playing regularly?

It was clearly all rushed through with the target of meeting PSR regulations.

I don't think the family were in any rush to move on

When Brentford were in discussions with Leeds, Archie didn't want to go, but the club told him if he doesn't leave, he wont play for the club again. Apparently Eddie Gray (Archie's Great uncle and Leeds legend) was absolutely furious.

The ITK is considered on the forum to be gospel. Quotes from the ITK:

"He didn’t want to leave at all. He was happy to stay. The club told him he had no choice in the matter."

"We are also unlikely to ever see his brother play in the first team at LUFC after this weekends events. They have completely fucked it."

In response to "Have you heard that Archie has been told he he doesn't make the move he won't play for us again, I've been told that his family/agent have tried everything to ensure he stays but he's been given that ultimatum.":
"Eddie is fuming, yes we have been informed of all of this."

Edit: I should add that all of the above is before we bid. This all happened during Brentford's talks.

He has been deployed deep by Lille under Fonseca despite being quite diminutive.
As a Lille supporter, hes been deployed deeper under Fonseca because there wasn't other options when Bentaleb had injury problems and Fonseca was not trusting Miramon at all. Benjamin Andre was always playing deeper than him. It's the same case now under Genesio.
This isn't defensive output for a 6(Bissouma mentioned later by someone else is much, much more active than Gomes), and him playing there would be waste of his creativity. He's good, but I don't think he's good enough for Spurs level.

Are there any Gray sisters or cousins - for the women´s team? Bring the whole clan!
There is a hell of a lot of footballing heritage in the Gray family - perhaps we get the them to sign a 'Gray in perpetuity contract' and have first dibs on all their new-borns going forward.

Seems Adrien Rabiot is still floating about as a free agent. Sounds like he wants astronomical wages to the tune of 220k pw or something.

I read somewhere we'd been linked but not seen it myself. Dont think he would be a player we would want to go for, despite his experience potentially being useful to our CM, particularly if Bentancur gets a long ban

I actually think, were his wage demands not ridiculous, he would be smart move for 18 months

Might just be me being optimistic, but Chelsea aside it does seem as though the PSR/FFP rules are actually starting to bite. Maybe this summer will be looked back on in hindsight as the moment the fees'n'wages bubble burst. Sort of like a mirror version of the summer when PSG bought Neymar and everything went nuts.

Obviously there's still the Saudis but I can't see that being attractive to anybody on a footballing basis (as opposed to financial basis) for a long time, if ever.
