Shakhtar Donestsk are still looking to take legal action against Levy for profiteering off of Russia’s invading Ukraine.
I think it’s safe to say there is absolutely no chance the chairman of that club entertains an offer from Spurs again.

Not comparing the two, but wasn't the same said of Manor Solomon?
The same was said for Hazard and Bernardo also. I mean the biggest issue with Solomon was very much his injuries even before he joined us. Who knows how good Solomon could have been but unfortunately throughout his career, thus far at least, he has been plagued by injuries. This goes back to his time at youth football. During his hot streak for Fulham he certainly didn’t look out of place in the PL until he got injured. Again.

Agree. Unless we add some extra financial incentives i don’t see us doing any deals with them any time soon.

Depending on what we value him at, say Shakhtar want a ‘reasonable’ sum and it’s below either Spurs current value/likely future value then it shouldn’t be beyond the realms of possibility paying an additional £8-10m for him to cover the loss they incurred for Solomon.

I feel like we should be all over this. The lad can play #10, #8 and RW.

This assist v Dortmund wouldn't look out of place on our wing.

Bild mentioned last week or so we had been scouting him. Certainly seems to be stepping up this season although I do think he is still on the raw side for what we need at present. Big talent tho no doubt. It’s a shame Adeyemi is injury prone as I think he’d probably be the better fit. Strange to say as last season I thought he was far to inconsistent and lacked focus but this season he looks really sharp.

He's brillant. Hatrick against Celtic in the CL was stunning.

He'd be my top pick. Eletric and devestating

Would def be a great option and he’s left footed as well. Having a very good season thus far. At that price I imagine there will be a lot of interest but certainly within our budget.

Massively inconsistent though. In 74 games for Dortmund, he has scored and assisted 32 but they have been done in 21 games and he has been subbed at half time in 5 games.

Agree, he is monumentally inconsistent. This season was the first time I’ve started to think he’d turned a corner as with the exception of the Stuttgart game (and that was just a poor performance all round) he’s been looking sharper on the whole… until he got injured that is. He’s clearly a very talented player with devastating speed but too many question mark’s to be considered a real target unfortunately. When In the zone he’s near unplayable tho and I hope for his sake he can overcome his injury issues.

Is it a case of baena or Millot though?

or would you say millot can be the Johnson rotation option on the right?

For me Adeyemi has shades of Salah who was also wildly inconsistent for a long long time and known for his poor finishing until it sort of just clicked for him.

It would be a stretch. Millot has had some excellent games out wide this season most notably against BVB. But in those games he still operates as a wide playmaker and comes central a lot. He doesn’t really attack the box like a forward. Very similar to how Baena plays on the left for Villarreal really.

Millot is very much a AM/CM playmaker. Whilst in theory you could certainly fit both in especially as we play two AM and in a pinch you probably could play both wide I think neither would suit a regular role as a touchline winger.

Lecce just extended with Dorgu till ‘29, not sure if it’s been mentioned.

To add to the point about his defensive capabilities, he played LB for Denmark against Switzerland and conceded a stupid penalty, didn’t do too great. Still young though, he can learn.

He’s been playing as a RW mostly this season for Lecce. No doubt he’s very talented but he needs a lot of work on the defensive side of his game to be considered a viable option at LB I think.

Unless we sold Maddison, 1 or the other. I like both players, but I think Millot fits us better personally and I doubt Baena could play in CM with Maddison, where as Millot could. You definitely wouldn't want both playing on wings at the same time either in this system and I think Millot suits us more on the wing than Baena does but still not ideal.

I think what I want most is that midfielder that can just control the midfield for the majority of the game. Deki further forward seems like one piece of the puzzle but when we lose control of the game, neither Maddison nor Bentancur are taking it back. Maybe it's a systemic issue but I feel like a Modric type of player would be a perfect addition.

Watching the match last night, Leeds seem to have found a gem in Tanaka. He looked in complete control as defensive midfielder often dropping back into the back four to cover if one ( or more) of them was attacking & was MOM by a street. Just shows there are hidden gems out there who can come in & make a mark straight away.
