On a side note because @nedley was asking, not that we need anymore young midfielders but 17 year old Ayyoub Bouaddi at Lille is looking like a big prospect. Very very early for him, he’s barely played really, and no point writing about him as we don’t really need another young 6/8 but for those interested it’s def worth watching him to see how he develops as he’s very hotly tipped. He’s getting a lot of hype atm due to his performance against RM the other day, and rightly so.

I saw a video before of this lad and he looks an insanely good talent. I wouldn’t be against bringing him in personally. We currently have:

Bentancur - Gray
Maddison - Sarr
Kulusevski - Bergvall

I think Bissouma will be moved on so I don’t think it would be a bad thing to bring him in to join in our other young talents.

I want us to safeguard the squad for the forseeable future and I want the young players all to learn from Ange whilst he is our manager.

With Vuskovic and Yang to come in our first team youth talent pool is incredibly impressive.

Yeah, Dibbling at Southampton has to be on the radar. Went past Califiori a few times like he wasn’t there today. Would fit in with our young starlets perfectly,

Yang has scored again. He is on 10 goals now.

Edit: Former Spurs U21 player M'poku is player for Yang's opposition.

And now he has an assist, his 6th of the season, after a counter attack from possibly the worst free kick I have ever seen.

If only he was joining a team that likes to transition quickly on the break 🤔😀

Very impressed with Carlos Baleba of Brighton. Strong on the ball and in the tackle, moves the ball well, and has a rocket of a shot. Can play at the base of the midfield or further up. Only 20 years-old. He has tremendous upside in my view.

Would be keen to hear evaluation of fellow Spurs supporters.

Think he’ll do very well for us both as a starter and as part of the squad.

Just seen highlights. This guy is RAPID
Already up to 8 goals and 4 assists in 6 games in the league (9 goals and 6 assists in all comps) and he has been used a lot as CF/SS but can comfortably play all across the front 3. He’s probably more of a Son style goal scoring forward rather than a straight up dribbler but he’s still good with ball at his feet and he’s fast. Maybe not the absolute ideal profile but I also think he might work well for us. He’s also a CAA Stellar client. Certainly one to keep in mind imo.

edit- here is a highlight vid

Mitoma.

That's it.
He had a great game but seems like he’s missed a fair amount of games the last couple of seasons, he’s never put together a season with a load of goals an assists, and he’s 28 and will cost a ton. I just don’t think it’s a deal we’d look to do.

Just out of curiosity, what positions do most think we still need to upgrade/invest in to get us to point where we are looking to seriously compete? Obviously taking into account Yang joining and players with contracts running low (Son, Davies, Forster, Regi and Werner all expiring next summer and Bentancur, Biss both expiring in 26). Would you renew any of those or move them all on?

Is the general consensus a LCB/LB, WF, DM and maybe another 10 would work or do you think more/less? Would you be happy to look at youth for any of those positions or would you hope/expect more established players in all of those roles? Obviously there is also the point of squad spaces so we would need to balance whoever comes in with exits.
