Need some x factor at this stage and I think he'd bring it.

Disappointed if we are scratching round in the nearly out of date labels again though. Wish we'd execute more of a.plan and get it done quicker.

You can have a plan that involves profiles of players that we're looking to bring in, AND also be open to opportunities as they arise. Good value can be found towards the end of windows with clubs trying to balance the books and looking to shift players not in plans. That's not scratching around, it's clever purchasing to increase what we can get within a finite budget.

I feel like he'd be better then Johnson on the right.

For that reason, I'm in.
More often than not, Man Utd games break down into end to end transitional games which suit Johnson down to the ground.

More often than not, our games break down into games where we're camped outside the opposition box which suits Sancho down to the ground.

Would never happen but a swap of some kind would benefit all parties imo.

This isn't aimed at you personally and it is more of a general point - but I have no idea why people constantly quote random websites about how much players earn. They are often inaccurate and literally no one knows the ins and outs of a contract other than the club, players and agents.
Agree on the whole... interesting to see in this example for JS, is that they verify this from more than one source, sometimes including agents.

My point was we aren't trying to sign another winger but because an opportunity surfaced we're going for it. If we need another winger we should be executing that plan regardless of Sancho.

Gotta feel a bit sorry for Ziege ending up with 666!

Anyway, Sancho. I genuinely can't think of another player that I find it harder to form an opinion on. Is he brilliant or quite overrated? Is he difficult or was that just ETH trying to play the big man to the rest of the squad? I honestly haven't a clue.

666 Christian Ziege

Ziege translated into English means goat.

Half man half goat name.... legacy number 666..... any coincidence?

Don't see the point...

1. He has never put together a decent run of games in the PL

2. He doesn't track back

3. Attitude issues

4. He's not actually that good anyway

5. His wages

6. He'd block game time of Johnson/Oderbert/Kulusevski/Moore

Massively hyped player with little substance, unless Ange has given up on Johnson then this seems pointless.

On loan it is marginally possible, as a permanent signing we wouldn't and shouldn't be offering him anywhere near his current wage.

I really don't see the benefit for us or Sancho.

He can't get ahead of Dialo, Rashford, Garnacho or even Anthony at United and when he has played for them (a while ago now) he looked distinctly average. Yes, yes, it could be the manager, but he's not good enough to be taking the risk on imo.

I'd be surprised if there is anything in this.
7. But you'd secretly love us to sign him and already have bought a Sancho shirt?

Yeah this isn't gonna happen. I really don't see Uniteds benefit in loaning to us for a start

only reason i could even remotely see this happening is they are desperate for LB cover and want Reguillon again. That's pretty much it.

Also gets some wages off their books.

Makes sense for us IF: buy option amount is small and player salary requirements are reasonable (he's homegrown, he is a dribbly guy...basically swap him in for Werner at the end of the season if he performs OK), they take Reggie.

I don't know why MU would agree to small buy option though so this seems like a non-starter.

I can get on board with this. Odobert and Sancho are exactly the type of wingers you need for Anges system.

Can we not just loan him to united with a 5m loan fee or something. United can put in an option with him to sign him on a free at the end of the season if they want.

It's obviously not going to happen, but this is the type of signing the club should be making. A ready-made winger who can make an instant impact against the best full-backs in the league. That is, if your aim is to compete with the top sides in the league, which unfortunately does not seem to be the case.
