Don't see the point...

1. He has never put together a decent run of games in the PL

2. He doesn't track back

3. Attitude issues

4. He's not actually that good anyway

5. His wages

6. He'd block game time of Johnson/Oderbert/Kulusevski/Moore

Massively hyped player with little substance, unless Ange has given up on Johnson then this seems pointless.

On loan it is marginally possible, as a permanent signing we wouldn't and shouldn't be offering him anywhere near his current wage.

I really don't see the benefit for us or Sancho.

He can't get ahead of Dialo, Rashford, Garnacho or even Anthony at United and when he has played for them (a while ago now) he looked distinctly average. Yes, yes, it could be the manager, but he's not good enough to be taking the risk on imo.

I'd be surprised if there is anything in this.

1. He had a little spell for Man.U but mostly fair point

2. Not sure that’s entirely true tbh

3. Could just be that he didn’t get on with Ten Haag

4. He was absolutely phenomenal for Dortmund especially first time round, there is certainly a quality player in there somewhere for sure

5. Yes his wages are probably a bit high. could be offset with a Reggie loan to them?

6. He’d not block Kulu as he’d mostly play RW or LW, and there would be plenty of minutes to go around, we still lack 1 top RW player and we’ll regret not signing another one later in the season once injuries and fatigue starts to kick in across hopefully deep runs in 4 competitions.

1 yr loan would be perfect for us imo but doubt it’ll happen.

So is that a yes or a no?

You seem on the fence.

I would 100% love this. Always rated him, and he was immense at BD. Hard to judge as he clearly doesn't get on with Ten Hag, if Ange thinks he can get him back to his best I'm fully up for a loan with option, or obligation if he plays enough games.
Young, HG, exciting player, great dribbler, quick, just needs to find a home and his spark again.
He also fits in positions we need cover.

I don't know the ins and outs of his relationship with ETH so let's give him a pass on his attitude issues....

His 'good' stint at Dortmund last came in the 2020-21 season, which is a while back now. His recent time at Dortmund is 14 games 2 goals and 2 assists, hardly prolific for a player playing in a good team in Germany. Infact the last good season he's had is that 20-21 season.

He may get minutes, but I doubt he'd nail down a first team spot, and will Sancho be happy with minutes here and there, and will spurs be happy paying a still high wage (no matter how we do the deal) for a bit part player?

There's a player in there but there's no way we're matching his Utd wages. Think he'd do a better job as back-up for Sonny than Werner has been doing but can't see him improving the starting 11 when everyones fit.
