A loan with an option doesn’t really hurt us in the long term!
If Utd would be willing to let him go with an option then I'd agree. Everything I have read however suggest they want an obligation if it is a loan. Obviously that might change in a day or two if nobody is willing to commit to an obligation. I guess this is one that will go down to the wire for that very reason.

I dont know how to feel about this link. If we get the BVB Sancho then he will elevate us. If we get the Utd Sancho then we have another waste of space on our books (unless this is a loan).

I personally think our business is done this window and we wont see another signing.

This just feels like even if we agree a deal for him, Chelsea will end up giving in and just accepting a complete buy for him and not just a loan.

IDK why but it just feels like they just want every player with a pulse at this point

I think we have to be carful about being so desperate for a transfer that we forget to take into consideration the bigger picture. That being said I still don't think our attack is good enough to take us comfortably into the top four. The real question is, would Sancho being here help us achieve our goals this season.

Yeah this part of your post is where I (and from what I gather, others) are at right now. I'd imagine Ange too to a degree?

Ange has to think about the here and now obviously because it is his job. If he doesn't get top 4 this year, would he be out?

As you mentioned, on paper, our attack is probably borderline top 4-6 as it stands. We all want to see Odobert or Moore blossom and take the next steps up to become our next stars, but do we give them the opportunities or take a chance on Sancho?

I definitely don't envy the decision makers there because I see arguments to both sides personally

I don’t think there is any chance this happens.

I just hope we’re spending this week making sure we bring in a LB as we’re, imo, clearly short at the back in particular on the left side. Have a feeling if we don’t bring someone in before Friday, then we’ll end up regretting it.

Of course because obviously they are struggling for numbers in attacking positions 😂

Yeah I def think there is a good chance of that. When we enter the "searching for opportunities" period of the window i start getting very doubtful anything more happens. Unless someone leaves, Trix mentioned maybe Biss moves the other day and The Athletic this morning suggested something still might happen with Richy despite what he said publicly for example, then we may be forced into the market but I'd guess both would be very unlikely.

Was hoping for a link to Sancho. Superb player in full flow and surely Ange is the perfect manager to get that out of him. Given he would have to convince Ange of his desire to play for us, that is enough for me if we do pursue this.

I do wonder if the problems were as much ETH as Sancho. ETH was under pressure and needed a scapegoat. At the same time it does worry me. For a loan with an option I could live with it. A big no on a permanent transfer though.

Also linked with Chelsea in the media, Sterling/Chilwell being offered....
I just can't see even those fucktards going for Sancho as well - surely not? That would be absolutely preposterous. And surely he wouldn't go there?

There's definitely a scenario where they get caught up in a horrible fire sale. It's not certain - I get that - and they've likely been cleverer about the way they've gone about it than people give them credit for.

But if they consistently under deliver on the pitch, there's a good chance it catches up with them. And I would Kevin Keegan style love it, if it happens.

If we all honest there is still a huge pressure on players playing for United, we have seen it with so many players who have performed at under different clubs. Even what I’m seeing from Rashford now he has got older, he was a huge talant when he broke into the team, now he looks like he’s simply just under pressure. I don’t think we realistically have a hope simply cause she is on £350k a week. A loan is of no real use to United. Maybe if they are so desperate for a LB and they know what they are gonna get from Reggi.

I am a Sancho sceptic but clearly has talent. An Adebayor type deal on a year or two loan with wages supplemented and an agreed option to buy could be an amazing bit of business to cover the right hand side if he gets some of the Dortmund form that took him to Utd. Reg to them as a separate bit of business would be good too to offset his wages.

We need another 'tricksy' winger in the squad to compete with Odobert.

Is Sancho that?
