Werner is on around 150k pw. Sancho reportedly on more than double that. I think Son is our top earner on around 160k. I doubt we’ll smash our wage structure for a player that has reported disciplinary issues. Loan is fine as Man U will probably cover part of his wages. But got make it perm we’d be asking Sancho to drop his wage demands by at least 50%. I just don’t see that happening.
Re Werner, depends which source you want to believe I suppose.

Under £100kpw according to this.

What baggage has he really got aside from a contentious falling out with ten Hag? His coach publically accused him of training and conducting himself poorly and he publically responded. Seems like a case of being better dealt with internally from all involved.
Massive wages

It's definitely ripe for the prospective buying club to apply pressure to Utd as they will surely relent - they need him off the books.

I wonder if this is a move that's pushed from higher up the hierarchy above Lange as Sancho was close to joining us prior to his initial move to Dortmund in 2017 no before Man City played silly beggars with us.
I think the fact he is a 24 year old who, as you say, we have tracked for a while must make him a very appealing idea at least in theory. There is still room to not only get back to his best but also improve. I think so much will be down to where we think he is mentally. If Ange decides he really wants him I could see us pushing for him as it would most certainly be an opportunity as you say.

Surely an ‘option’ is out the question if we can’t afford his wages? Even if it was included as part of the loan agreement I don’t see it being taken.
IF we were to get him outright after his loan I imagine it would be a reasonable base fee with performance related bonuses taking him up to something he'd be happy with. Fact is he is desperate to leave and there aren't a lot of options for him. Unless PSG decide to offer him his full contract I certainly don't see Juve being able to match his current deal, or even what we would offer, now or after the loan.

This one ain't happening for various reasons
On a side note, Paul O'Keefe seems to think we will do more business, but a lb/cb is what he is saying

That's not what having baggage means. Unless he's paid in cash every week given to him in duffel bags, then yes, massive baggage.
I had an image of him walking along with two massive suitcases stuffed with his wages lol.

Would be very interesting to see how he'd work out here in Anges system.

Yet at the same time would want to see how Odobert develops and any left over time given to Moore.

Some angel on one shoulder and the devil on the other type stuff

It isn't as if I didn't call this literally hours ago. Yet here we are, people starching their knickers with jizz, because this time, the traditional late 'big' player will materialise.

haha
Absolutely, so many are desperate for a hit of that sweet, sweet deadline day magic, that the likelihood of it actually being more than a passing interest gets glossed over.

This is my main concern. Fallen out with Ten Haag, fell out of the England mix too. Bright lights of London and all that.

That said, if Ange wants him and he wants to come and knuckle down I’ll back him. As @Ghost Hardware mentioned above, he has technical ability which many of our wingers lack.
Yeah the attitude is a big concern, at least from the outside. From what I know via my friend who is an avid Utd fan, it was more the huge lack of effort rather then having a nasty streak. He was the type to stay up all night playing COD then be knackered the next day. He did also say that ETH was not not the best coach for him. But in general there were a lot of questions about his mental fortitude and he seems to believe the price and expectancy placed on his shoulders after such a big move at such a young age threw him for six. But look, he's 24 now so who knows where he is at mentally now. Maybe he's matrued and is ready to crack on with his career. Like you say, if Ange wants him after talking to him then that say a lot IMO.

I am very torn on Sancho personally. I can completely see why we might be sniffing because if he reaches his BVB level again then it could be a masterstroke of a move but Im not entirely sure he necessarily suited to the PL. I do think Utd and ETH were completely the wrong fit for him and I feel our set up would allow him to express himself with more freedom but I'm still not entirely convinced its the right move. I think if we are looking for a new winger we need a left footer, Bakayoko or Conceicao (i know he's gone to Juve now) would be a more sensible fit for me, but I realise we are in the hunt for opportunities and whilst he's not a a perfect fit for the wings he certainly is very good technically thus offers something currently lacking and can also play multiple positions.

I think we have to be carful about being so desperate for a transfer that we forget to take into consideration the bigger picture. That being said I still don't think our attack is good enough to take us comfortably into the top four. The real question is, would Sancho being here help us achieve our goals this season.

A loan with an option doesn’t really hurt us in the long term!
