I can see why Sterling might want to go to United and why United might want him but I cannot for the life of me understand why (1) Sancho might want to go to Chelsea (2) Chelsea might want Sancho.

Can't see how Sancho works for us. He kicked off at Utd because he only wanted to play on the left where we already have Sonny, Odobert, Werner, Moore and Soloman. LW is the last place we need to strengthen, and then you add in the wages.

Yeah it’s just moving the deck chairs on the titanic. Swapping one winger on huge wages for another.

This is just the long game for us to swoop in for Neto after Maresca tells him he doesn't have room in the squad for him

I’ve been waiting for a last minute signing or two, but I can’t see this makes sense for us. Fingers crossed we hear something soon.

their right winger only scored a hat trick on sunday and they only have neto and mudryck as back up I can see why they would need a fourth player in that spot.

Depends on the deal. He plays left and right as does Odobert. Would he strengthen our first 11 ? He sure does. If Ange wanted him and the finances work and the player wants to come it’s a no brainer.

Appreciate the info as always from WLB.

If Odobert is seen as doing his best work on the left then I like the idea of another RW coming in who's capable of making the first xi.

Obviously this does leave Werner looking like a bit of a spare part, but in principle I'd like a first xi RW in and we saw on Saturday how someone with Odoberts skillset was so useful. If the club/ange think that guys Sancho then a loan might work. If he can capture his Dortmund form imo there's a real player in there. His numbers for the 2hd half of last season might not have been that impressive but I watched a lot of their games and he was integral to them winning plenty of games, including brilliant performances vs PSG in the CL

Depth i guess for Chelsea, maybe they think best case scenario he fulfils his early potential and ether they keep him or flip him for a profit, worst cast they move him on next summer and brake even. As for Sancho, no idea, I'm sure they will promise him all sorts and maybe he wants to be in London but surely he is aware of who else is there.

I assumed Odobert would be primarily used from the Right - do we have ITK on this to the contrary? I know he played on the left against Everton - but when Solanke and Richi are fit - seems like Odobert would have nowhere to play - but the right.
