Loan with an option would be perfect, what a window if we get him in. Just need a LB for cover as well and we're sweet.

Said a couple of weeks ago that this had us written all over it if he was still there late in the window, I can really see this happening.

Wasn't he playing RW in his recent loan? Would be a great option for us.

Utd are about the worst environment going for a player like him, may be only Chelsea could be worse.

As a loan with an option and Reggie going the other way on a similar type of deal it would be decent

Likes Erik Lamela, deal with it.

I remain hugely sceptical of Sancho as a player and a person and wouldn't be celebrating if we got him. Having said that I can see how it could make sense as a loan as long as there is no obligation to buy.

This makes no sense to me, we have a ridiculous amount of winger as it is, especially on the left. I mean Son is going to play nearly every game there anyways. Having already signed three wingers this window (Werner, Odobert and the Korean lad) this would just baffle me. Good player tho and I guess maybe we want to play him on the right instead which would indicate to me that Deki will have more of a midfield role. Can anyone else figure this one out?

I wonder if Utd will eventually relent to an option, seems they are very keen on an obligation. Unless Chelsea really push for him, every other club sniffing will probably need Utd to offset the wages during the loan. Juve especially.

Sancho can play both wings naturally, left wing (145 with 50 goals and 40 assist) right wing (105 with 31 goals 39 assists) but it is true he is another right footer. I think our interest would be due to the lack of technical ability on the wings with the exception of 19 year old Odebert.

Not convinced he has the required work ethic, a no from me.
I just don’t think he’s what we need either. He‘s best on the left, which is partly why it all went to shit at United for him when Ronaldo came in, and the put Rashford on the left, Sancho just couldn’t perform as well on the right.

We already have Son, Odobert, Werner and Moore who are better off on the left wing. So we’d be shoe horning him, or somebody else onto the right side of the system.

With what this would cost, it’s a big no from me.

I seem to remember back when he was at Dortmund and both Chelsea and United were in for him, him confirming that he had grown up as a chelsea fan which could swing him to cheslea tbf

It's definitely ripe for the prospective buying club to apply pressure to Utd as they will surely relent - they need him off the books.

I wonder if this is a move that's pushed from higher up the hierarchy above Lange as Sancho was close to joining us prior to his initial move to Dortmund in 2017 no before Man City played silly beggars with us.

Certainly an interesting one, having seen the difference a tricky wide player can make to us at the weekend. Obviously there are big red flags over mentality, and coming back to London could be a risk, but you never know exactly what the politics are like at Utd. They may need him out because of his ridiculous wages and obviously have Amad and Garnacho coming through now.

Personally I think we're done this window. There's an article in The Athletic this morning which seems to be setting that expectation.

I’ve seen a few things saying he only wants to play on the left, but when I saw him in CL last year, he was playing (and playing well) on the right. He could be exceptional for us, him and Odobert swapping wings would be very fluid and a nightmare for other teams.
