The day we spend over £20 mill on a transfer is the day Levy is sectioned. This guy would cost far too much for us especially after Porto have sold players already.

We're a bargaining chip in his contract negotiations and little else.

Unfortunately, this is pretty likely. Porto will want a king's ransom for him and we don't exactly have the best experiences with them.

Not worth thinking about, it's like AVB saying he wants Lewandowski except Martinez isn't as proven (one great season in Europe) or on the last year of his contract. Both main strikers at a club that's run well who've already sold off several of their other key players for massive money recently.

Well, we shouldn't bemoan Napoli going for Martinez with a wad of cash, we got to keep Bale and they didn't get to keep Cavani which is why they have the money to chuck around.

Napoli reached an agreement on wages with Jackson Martinez, according to Sky Italy. Now it's up to the deal with Porto! Mamma mia...

Napoli will put AS Monaco to shame. I'm totally convinced of it. I actually think Monaco still has a bunch of holes. They would have been far better served buying 7 10-12m players as opposed to 3 big stars and actually attempted to build a squad with talents that can grow together.

well monaco is coming from the 2nd division in france and napoli was 2nd in Serie A, don't see how they're in similar spheres
