Worrying, mgmt change in a relegation battle often marks the end of faith being played in young loan players... hopefully Roles’s quality will shine through.

Watched the match - Cambridge in charge for the entire first half, played good football but couldn’t put the ball in the net. Salford sucker punched them with their first effort on goal.
Three individual mistakes for the other three goals.

I would expect Roles to still get games under the new manager. They signed two other loan players over the weekend as well.

Roles has been struygg

Still been a very good loan and he has played very well and I have seen this with my own eyes, Cambridge United are not the best team you will see and they can be good one week and Sh*t the next and they are not one of the best teams in that league, Roles has had a Hip problem and has not played much of late but you are right a new Manager might sacrifice Roles for a more defensive player just hope that is not the case.

Didn't roles play in defence and as a dm for us and still score a load as a kid?

He has always scored goals, he has played most positions I have never seen him play CB as a kid but others say he did.

Here are a few goal he scored when he was young.

Sure the first time i heard of him he was playing cb and scored a nice hattrick. A good few years back though so might have misremembered.

I remember seeing him score from about the half way line for the u16, he scores all types of goals that is why he is good to watch.

Is Roles injured? He isn't in the Cambridge team at all today. If he isn't injured and with Calderwood losing his job I hope he doesn't become a casualty of a new manager, that would be a shame for him.

That's good news for him, no idea what the future holds for him (if it's at Spurs or not) but glad he is going to be back at it. Personally think looking at the limited highlights he has shown promise. Fingers crossed for him.

Cambridge have won four out of five in his absence (which is also since Calderwood was sacked) so he might not walk straight back into the XI. Hope he does of course, he was probably their best player in the first half of the season.
