Again, I don't have the figures but Randy Lerner stopped spending years ago. Dr Xia spent a bit when he came in but Villa had money from the sales of Benteke and Delph to offset that before. Big wages for a few players that are gone now. I don't see how any of this is stopping them picking up a few cheap buys without selling their prized asset 'on the cheap'. But we could go back and forth all day without access to their books.

Right now? £10M tops. He has not proven himself at even the Championship level yet - and we can debate all day about why that may be, and what would happen if he played his preferred position, but he has not performed near the level of Grealish.
