He posted a little interesting follow up too

Second part sounds good. Sounds like it means in the event he doesn't progress as quickly as we expect he will we can send him back in January for 6 months to get some minutes in the Championship at a club who are almost certainly going to play him.

If that's all correct, at the prices stated I can't see a single reason this would be a bad signing.

Always looked classy when I watched him last season.

Hopefully this is one of those instances where we've struck early during a wonderkids career and other teams bemoan the fact that they didn't strike earlier.

Absolutely.

In the current market, £10m really is bugger all. It's probably the equivalent of us paying £3-4m for a promising youngster five years ago. There's been a lot of talk in the press, particularly in Yorkshire, that he's only earning £1,000 a week at Leeds, too.

That means we can offer him, say, £5,000-£10,000 a week which represents a big step-up for him and a bargain for us.

Anybody else looking forward to winning the quadruple in 2022 with an attack of Kane up front, Dele in the hole, Sessegnon and Clarke either side and Ndombele marshalling with Winks from deep?

Looks like this is gonna happen sooner rather than later. Do love a deal like this. Hope he proves to be a real bargain. Pace and trickery in that kind of frame can be a deadly combo.

At the money quoted and his age .... This could end up like a really great deal especially with the current value on English players

Comments go to show that all football fans are exactly the same...

Leeds fans have gone from "as if Spurs are going to get him for that price, it's nowhere near enough for a lad who is going to be a star" to "he's overrated anyway, only had one good game and X and X are better, and now we've got money to improve" in the space of a few days.

We all use the same defence mechanisms.

Are the same people saying the two things, or does this actually demonstrate that whenever you get a big group of people you get many points of view?

Not really new but seems like we're in for a lot of different numbers on this deal.

BBC reporting it now.

Leeds United winger Jack Clarke is close to completing a move to Premier League side Tottenham.
Negotiations have advanced far enough for the Championship club to let the 18-year-old travel south for a medical.
It is understood a fee in the region of £10m has been agreed, with further payments scheduled if certain clauses are met.
He would be Tottenham's first signing since Brazil forward Lucas Moura joined from Paris St-Germain in January 2018.
Clarke came through the youth system at the West Yorkshire club and made his first-team debut on 6 October last year against Brentford.
He made 25 appearances for the club last season and helped them to the Championship play-off semi-finals, where they lost to Derby County.
