Did he ever show any regret for what he did and what he was banned for?

He just comes across as an absolute unit of a prick. I disliked Richarlison before we signed him, but that was because he was more of a pantomime villain, and in all honesty I've loved his antics since he's been with us. I just can't imagine enjoying watching Toney in our kit as it's a completely different type of dislike.

I still hope we stay as far away from him as possible.

"The Three" mentioned in the ITK. Are we certain that was referring to incomings? Dunno why, but I read it as outgoings.

If... big If.... we signed, Eze, Neto, and Toney by end of the window, that would be quite impressive, all things being equal.

While I'm not ultra excited about the prospect of Toney playing for us, it's got nothing to do with his character. Which, I know nothing about. As for others who infer they do... perhaps they have some inside knowledge, but by no means does that make them a subject matter expert in all things Toney.

Actually, my hesitancy around him joining us has more to do with his application and work rate. While I watch other players at Brentford tenaciously hunt in packs, he always seems to just lumber around. So, if he has the ability to change that side of his game... great. If not... I don't see why Ange would consider him a good fit.
There's plenty of evidence as to his character in the public domain already, there's no need for 'inside knowledge'. Generally I get behind every single player and manager that joins the club without exception but there is nothing in me that can bring myself to cheer this wrong 'un on. I can be swayed but as of now I hope we steer clear.

Blimey, if I was running Brentford I’d be absolutely fuming, they’ve really been done over by Toney and will now have to endure a season of him saying he’s now leaving on a free at the end of the season.

I'm not even sure I'd want him on a free. Lankshear could be as good as him by next year. (Wearing Spurs glasses, mind you.)

I remember reading a few months ago he was wanting £250k a week, that’s on him getting a transfer this summer though whilst still being under cobtracr!
I can see him wanting £400k a week if he goes on a Bosman, just hope we stay away i

at least if he stays he will be available in Jan and we'll know if we need him and see if he gets back into form.

It wouldn’t be like Brentford to let him go on a free next year. He will be sold this summer to someone.

I’m starting to think he might be the best target available now after all the other links.
Doubt Brentford want to let Toney go right now, Wissa and Toney their only fwds - after Thiago is out for at least the rest of 2024.

They coped with them when he was banned. Plus the longer they hold on to him the smaller the fee.
