we didn't win the league.

I love a good cliche especially one that attempts to cover up some degree of hurt and pain. However freak season, missed opportunity aside, this will definitely act as fire in their bellies.

We have a very young side, and as long as we can keep it in tact and supplement the squad, then narrowly losing out should give them something to strive for.

You could argue It would have been too easy to win it in such a way, and maybe it would have had a negative impact the next season trying to emulate the feat (with added pressure). As it stands Leicester (good luck to them) will have to deal with it now.

Of course the other so called big clubs will come back stronger with spending etc but they have to rebuild and overhaul their teams. Theyre going to be under much more pressure. Plus we have champions league to look forward to.

In fact looking at it i think we should have the least amount of pressure next season with hopefully a settled squad and manager with that added hunger to go one better.

Did that work?

If anything at all it showed us what our potential could be, where our strengths were and which weaknesses we will need to address if we want to challenge again and be in the title fight.

I'd honestly be very surprised if Poch is not seriously thinking about improving some of the players we have out on the field, and also those on the bench...

A good thing that we didn't win the league so in the future we may or may not win the league, erm, me thinks no...

The pressure's on Leicester City on the next. All we need is to strengthen our team, not too pressure on that. But to them they got to keep up always. :D

Not sure we will go one better next season but your attempt to put a brave face on it is admirable, and so for that i take my hat off to you sir.

anyone who agrees with the OP should form an orderly queue to say that to Danny Rose / Mousa Dembele during the next game .. they will probably be in the stands, alas.... so I'd call yourself an ambulance beforehand...
