Poch with absolutely no information on injured players return times.
Why get our hopes up though?
I prefer this stance that they're being assessed etc rather than he's back tuesday then he isn't seen for 3 more weeks coz they got it wrong, imo

I fear Wanyama will break down again as well if he has to be used too much to cover for our other injuries.

Wish some people on here would give Poch a break and shut there gobs. Just because he can’t give you a breakdown of every player and their injury. Really? Get off your high horses.

Is it so unreasonable the for the fans who pay for it all to want to know what is going on ? After all it is an entertainment industry and the customers are usually kept informed what is going on with their stars and favourites.

We don’t pay for it all.

Yes.

There are lots of reasons why a club may not be as forthcoming about player injuries as you would like.

All those defending our squad often stating how we have 25 are being ever so slightly disingenuous... Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Aurier, Rose, Dier, Sissoko, Dele, Kane, Foyth, Wanyama, Dembele, Winks, Son, Lamela, Janssen, all these players I listed had spent long periods out in the past either through injury, international commitments or were simply considered not good enough, that's 15 players! That's not even factoring in world cup, no rest or pre-season so you did't have to have been a genius to have foreseen some potential problems this year had we not invested...

To some extent, I kinda get where some are coming from as they are paying to get entertained.

For example, when you go to a Broadway show, are you there to watch the "star" perform or the understudy?
Some would like to know.

The club aren't going to come out with specific timescales mainly because they won't know for certain. Managers do sometimes say that a player may likely be back by this time or that time, but it's always coached in qualifying language. Every statement about the timescales around a player's return are estimates and should be treated as such. You only need to look at Harry to see how accurate estimates are.

And nothing has changed about any of our injured players, so what kind of update are we expecting?

Not really the same though is it? Injuries are apart of football and they're a regular occurrence so people should really expect that and respect the fact that the club may not know themselves the severity of the injury. I mean if you're choosing to spend your own money on football then that's at your own risk.

But there usually isn’t a definitive answer? players recover at different speeds

Agreed Shady that injuries & rotation play a role in football.
But there still are some similarities in that performances & involvement in both can be impacted through various means
Maybe not as regular on stage but absence through illness, voice/vocal issues ie colds or overuse etc can determine who's performing.
Production teams usually disclose this.

There's a risk with both if you're spending money on either.

Nevertheless, no need to beleaguer this thread any further.

Wish we didn't have this many injuries.

There was a time not too long ago that, through our elevated levels of fitness, we hardly had any injuries all season.
