What's new

I love (hate) Daniel Levy, please don’t mention him anywhere else!

Not sure if this should go here, but i had a thought about what he should do that will make a difference.

To get out of this never-ending cycle of 18 month managers with firings and compensation we need to innovate. A 1 year contract for a manager with a decent wage and a massive performance bonus. They don't have to fully relocate (Conte) it's just a season. Do well and they can come again or go elsewhere.

We are hing up on long term managers in England, they shape the club. Maybe it is time to change that.

But it's the long-term chairman of THFC that shapes this club. We can't change that.

Looking forward to another Frazier Campbell, Ryan Nelson, Clinton N’jie type club signing at the end of the window.

The ‘January window is a hard time to buy players’ line is absolutely fine as long as come Summer when it is ‘easier’ you spend and get in all your top targets.

We throw out the ‘January is hard’ line then come summer it’s ‘oh Summer is actually hard too, when’s Jan?’

Signing good players is hard. Signing teenagers from Burnley for 25m is actually easy surprisingly

If ever there was a phrase that was so against Levy’s mantra, this was it:

“if you have to pay over the odds for a player, so be it.”

That's what I mean when I say he won't deviate from his MO regardless of the circumstances.

What a cretin he really is.

I’m in Kuala Lumpur airport at the moment waiting for my flight back to Singapore.

Spotted these in the equivalent of Boots. Who needs players when we’ve got an exclusive deodorant partner in Malaysia?

edit: yes, I did buy one. Got high hopes but no doubt half way through the bottle I’ll just be disappointed frustrated and a bit sad. Also smelly.

Assume they didn't go down the 'It won't let you down' tagline route like Right Guard?

After 24 years with our trophy haul of one league cup, we're currently in 14th place. Boggles the mind what Levy and Enic have got away with.

Absolutely this, we should be ashamed of ourselves as a fan base.

I'm not going until something changes, which upsets my son and there are people that i wont see because we only meet up to go to see Spurs. But it doesnt matter, because some tourist from Asia or America will buy the ticket anyway.

We're done

I've long been at the point that I would 100% take a couple of years in the Championship if it meant he left

Isn't that the case under every manager levy has hired. Always glaring holes in the squad and not bringing in main targets that fit the style of the manager.
He would rather buy a player with resale value or one in the last throws of their contract.
“hey we will get player X as he’s cheap and last year of contract. We will save £40m if we opt here than player Y” “this would be the one for me, can you make him fit, he is a midfielder after all” “we got him, oh he’s not a defensive midfielder? Can you make him into one?”

So go from an 18 month cycle to a 12 month cycle that seems legit.

Most of our problem is the constant changing. We don't give anyone time to work through squad issues so we need massive overhauls every 18 months.

I really want it to be ange that succeeds here but for whatever reason it doesn't look to be going in the right direction right now. Either way back a horse and accept the pain points. Stand firm as a fan base and hope we pull through into better times.
