Well, not in a Spurs shirt. Maybe I'm kinda there with Sandro but it's all still a bit new and it's been very on again off again.

Eriksen I really thought I could love like I loved Rafa. But something's just not right.

I've pretty much always got by by always having one player I absolutely love (sometimes for no reason): Bale, King, Rafa, Modric, Steed, Berbatov, Keane, Ginola, Poyet (seriously loved Super Gus). Or a manager like Hoddle or Martin Jol.

But I don't have one. And given my lack of anything remotely close to like for our manager from Borehamwood who isn't any good, I'm feeling a massive disconnect.

So much so I'm genuinely considering my ST status - I know that some people will say "good, that'll get real fans in that'll sing". Trust me, where I sit, I get frowned at for singing and daring to say anything positive.

What do you lot feel? Any flames held?

Seeing a picture of VdV, Modders, Bale and Disco Benny celebrating at The Emirates a few seasons back, nearly made me cry earlier this week.

Tottenham just hasn't felt like Tottenham for me this year. Maybe it's the huge overhaul of players, but I agree there isn't anyone in the squad currently who I have real affinity with.

I have that picture up in my office. :(

I do love Sandro, think it's because he's got a great character. I love the effort that Ade has been putting in and Daws is my new bestie. A few years ago I loved most of the team, now not so much. Some players are just so frustrating.

Eriksen is the beginnings of love! He just needs to play more. With enough games he will grow on you!

Not that I think any player could replace VDV or King in my heart just yet, it's still too fresh :(

P.s. I do love Sandro. How could you not?

I don't have any real love for any of our players. But we suck terribly atm so that may have something to do with it.

None of them live up to their individual hype. But I guess that's why it's hype. Lloris and Vertonghen is as close to exciting as it gets for me. Our goalie and central defender/reluctant left back. How unexciting is that in itself? Going forward what is there? Sandro is a legend. Of Social Media. Needs to be on the pitch a lot more. I missed the Norwich home game so possibly also Eriksen's peak. I love Daws, but his flaws are trumpeted every time you dare speak his name. Adebayor? I don't like him. Never have, never will and it pains me that the shit football we play has the end product of making him a hero. The rest? Meh. I really want to see Lamela on the pitch. He's the guy we could love if we just persisted with him. This back injury shit is just unbelievable in my opinion. I just want to enjoy my Spurs. Even our wins leave me feeling like there's something missing. Defeat is unbearable.

I see where you're coming from, but at the same time I still appreciate where the club is compared to the dark ages of 1992-2004.Still, it's like I'm putting my love on hold until the summer before resuming. I'm, to use the Friends term, on a break.

What happens the rest of this season just doesn't seem to mean much to me, except that I want us to finish above United for the first time in my memory just so I can say that we've done it.

I think the main reason for the mass disillusion is that we've spent the last four years since the summer of 2010 squandering a fantastic opportunity, once through the Chelsea CL debacle, but three times through our own fuckuppery. I get it, I really do. Part of that fuckuppery is obviously the turnover of players and the sense that, bar Eriksen and possibly Lamela if he gets "fit" again, we don't have the exciting attacking players we used to and we are so often painfully boring to watch.

Still, once this season's over and we hopefully get a sense of where the club's going over the summer, I'm sure I'll love again.

I'll love Sandro if he can stay flipping fit / injury free and starts playing to the level we all know he can.
