I would think he would know that we would not go anywhere near that. I would hope he would be so desperate to come that he would lower his demands. After all AVB is his best shot of going to the World Cup and i doubt many other teams would go for him.

You think someone would be willing to take a £160k a week (£8m a year) drop in wages to stand a better chance of playing the in the world cup, when they already played in the confederations cup.

I don't and I doubt even more his advisors would allow him to.

I've said in this thread ages (May) ago that they don't want him there and he doesn't want to be there. Insane wages or not, there may well be a creative way of them getting rid of the guy. Also posted a couple of articles where he says he's had offers from Chelski and Spurs. They may well take quite a hit and may not afford to try all this posturing stuff.

My point being is that he would know how much we would potentially be able to offer him, if we get to the point of discussing wages then i would imagine there would be a compromise on his part. Ultimately it comes down to how desperate he is to get out of Russia, his form since the move has been appalling and is reflective of his supposed unhappiness. That doesn't mean i think this deal will happen tho, Zenit being the primary reason.

Exactly. I think he'd be more than happy to come, just whether or not we can agree a deal with Zenit to allow it.

Is he really a player that we need?

There are other areas on the pitch that I feel we need strengthening before we bring the Hulk in i'd have thought

It's freaking hulk. He's strong enough as is!
(Sorry, I couldn't resist)

I know it's a terrible reason but I want this to happen at the very least for the Novelty of having Hulk. Come on Levy, you know you want some of that

In purely playground terms, signing him would take some of the smugness out of Arsenal fans who are jizzing their collective Y-Fronts (understandably) about the imminent signing of Ozil. Not saying he's as good a player, but in the collective footballing conscience, he's just as well known. Why that's important, I'm not sure, but it's making me feel better.

In actual fact, our business looks to be almost certainly done.

Hulk would be great, the strength of the team would be awesome, strong physical guys. Dembele, sandro, paulinho and Hulk. Try winning the ball off that lot in the same team.

Goons didn't have much bother winning the ball off us the other day. Little shits like Walnut and Wilshere were nicking the ball off Capoue and co. Embarrassing.

Forget Hulk, just spoke to one of our players and was told he doesn't think he's coming. You can take your own guesses as to who it was, but he knows him.

Sandro or Gomes or Paulinho. Who else of our playing squad would know Hulk?
